Over the last few years there have been a handful of VUE (Nintendo Virtual Boy) Debuggers that have come up for sale. This rare piece of software development history has always commanded a high price. Yet, none of these items were as complete as the one which recently surfaced. This newly posted Yahoo Japan auction features the VUE Debugger, a PC interface card, and the official Nintendo Virtual Boy link cable. What is most astounding is that this is the first known public listing of the unreleased Virtual Boy link cable, an item considered the holy grail for Virtual Boy collectors. If you have deep pockets and a love for retro video game history, this is the auction for you.

Pretty cool to see this show up, pity the link functions where ripped out of all the commercial games. Hopefully more pics will follow.

    Wouldn't YOU like to know?
Well, crap. At the bottom it says:

    海外発送 対応しません

    No international shipping :(

Though it says right in the listing that it's free shipping. Maybe he'd be willing to ship internationally if the bidder offered to cover the shipping costs.

You could use a middleman service (I think) if you'd want this so badly.

Black and red colours.. possibly the worst combination to stare directly into your eyes.

Just the inclusion of the link cable means Nintendo did produce link cable but never released any of those for the public.

I had to laugh at Google's translation for the condition: Used (Junk).

Good to see this in the wild for collectors but it is low on the list of what official devkit wares I want.

Also laughed at this, although my translate gave "Medieval (Junk)" instead.

Still, really cool to see one of these up for sale.
