Anybody have a easier tutorial on how to access a VLC stream in WiiMC. I know how to stream my PC's screen in VLC but I cant figure out what else to do to get that stream to WiiMC. Any help would be appreciated... thanks.

From personal use, streaming sucks in wiimc. If you don't have a great(good isn't good enough.) modem. forget about it. or if you need to use internet while streaming.
there is a lot of "buffering/freezing. more of a pain in the ass then need be. tell you the truth. mplayer can stream better then wiimc.(even though they share some of the same code.). hope this helps.

That's great and all but is there a tutorial on how to setup VLC streaming with either of these homebrew apps?

As talked about on the WiiMC forums, some people have figured out a way to stream HD videos from their PC to their Wii using VNC. The tutorial is a bit clusterfuck but I want to figure things out so that I can attempt to stream my desktop to my Wii with VNC.

Hd videos is better done with a hd console. That being said, the software ps3 media server can do what you seek for.

I'm not doing it for HD Videos. I'm doing this for my mission of OnLive on Wii. Yesterday I tried Mikogo which was very close (in comparison to the other VNC programs I used) but no cookie. There was a nice little HTML viewer but the stream was 5 seconds slower than my button presses and no audio was streamed. If VNC has the ability to stream your desktop then I want to try it.
