I think it is just a copy of a formerly installed channel, copied from SD to a DVD. But this shows a nice new technique for installing things to the menu.

Doesn't prove anything. He could have hide the Super Mario Channel (yes , his channel "remover" just hides channels). Then he installed his removerUNDO update (modified for Super Mario) and tada , there is your game.

Waninkoko confirmed on ElOtroLado that this method works, and uses Trucha. And also specifically said that they're NOT going to release it.

At least for now.

I don't want to have to burn a new DVD for each VC game.

If it gets cracked, you can also install multiple games at one time.

You can simply replace some of the update files with VC ones(made for ur Wii or cracked(if it gets possible)) and tell the updater it has to install them. But this is pretty risky, so there aren't many people who experiment around this.

I hope a full Wii reflash will be released soon, without the need of the 128 bit AES key and signing, which makes experiments less risky.

No, because Waninkoko said that he doesn't want Nintendo to EPICALLY retailate against them

Sorry to be so mean, but who cares about NES games on the Wii ? If you want NES games, just do it on your computer

This is not only about NES games
wink.gif
This is about every single VC game

With this method you can install every VC game released on your Wii

The method to do this won't be released anyway but hopefully it will be leaked somehow.

Meh...don't crap your pants until there's a release...proof of concept simply means its still bugged...that's why they won't release it.

Edit: Or they are waiting for IOS37's blocker to go active and then see what happens.

Don't forget that this method will probably work for Wiiware games and not just Virtual Console games. Surely it could be released as an installer that you just put your own Virtual Console/Wiiware games into and install from there. I cant see there being any legal problems with releasing it that way. I'd still say that they are waiting for the new update to come out in case all these "Trucha Signed" channels brick peoples Wii's. Expect ALOT of really cool stuff as soon as it's verified that they wont brick your Wii.
