Hello. I recently installed custom firmware (Aroma) on my Wii U and installed a GameCube game file created with UWUVCI, but when I launched it, I experienced the same problem.
However, after doing a few things, I was able to successfully inject the GC Game, so I thought I'd write down how to do it here for anyone else who is having the same problem.
Step1. Delete the Nintendont file causing the problem from the SD card.
SD Root: /apps/nintendont
and
SD Root: /nincfg.bin
Step2. Put a new Nintendont File onto the SD card.
https://wiidatabase.de/downloads/usb-und-disk-loader/nintendont/
Download Nintendont from this URL. Then, copy the Nintendont folder from your apps directory to SD Root: /apps/
Step3. Create the Inject Install folder for GC Games.
https://github.com/piratesephiroth/TeconmoonWiiVCInjector/releases
I used TeconmoonWiiVCInjector here instead of UWUVCI.
I haven't yet pinpointed the direct cause of the GC Inject game not starting, but I suspected it might be related to the Injector's Nintendont cfg, so I didn't configure the SD card settings at this point.
Step4. Manual configuration of Nintendont Cfg file.
Once you enter the vWii, launch Nintendont from the HomeBrew Channel. At this point, you will need to launch a game once to save the settings, so put any GC game ISO ROM onto your SD card for Nintendont. The location to put it is SD root: games/Your Game Name [Your Game ID]/game.iso
Turn on Memcard Emulation in the Nintendont settings screen.
Then, please start the game.
Step5. Install GC Games using WUP Installer GX2.
This installs GC Games into the Wii U menu and saves it to a USB drive (HDD or SSD) instead of an SD card. Additionally, you can now use the Wii U GamePad with GC Games.
I've decided to use UWUVCI for Wii Games and TeconmoonWiiVCInjector for GC Games going forward.
I hope these steps will help those who are having trouble successfully injecting their GC game.
