Shameless self promotion. I created a Video Game SFX Quiz while back:
https://vg-sfx-quiz.herokuapp.com/
The quiz offers 60 different sound clips from years 1980-2020, from all kinds of genres, consoles and games. Answers are checked automatically. You can also spoil the answers after giving up.
Even though there are no instructions, the quiz should be pretty self explanatory. The input requires a name for the game, nothing more. If it does not accept your "correct" answer, it might require a number or subtitle. Some answers will require them, some don't, depending on my judgement... Correct answer will display the "model answer", but in many cases, it's not the only accepted answer. The input check does not care about special characters and uppercase/lowercase.
It was featured in a Destructoid news post and some smaller gaming related websites, so you might have already heard of it. The site has had around 90k visitors already and has gotten mostly positive feedback. The quiz is as it was before, I was supposed to have a better banner and score tracking, but had no real graphical skills or motivation after it began to circulated more... I am not proud of all the selected clips and some are quite low quality due to my inability to find good sources.
Nevertheless, I thought you might enjoy it, so there it is.
There's no score tracking, so I don't know what has been the best score. 40-50 is extremely good, and one small Twitch-streamer got 58 when co-operating with his viewers... dunno if anyone has gotten all of them.
I might add another someday, but don't hold your breath. There's a list of ~50 potential sounds for a second quiz, but I am aiming for another 60. Harder than it seems: I have to avoid repeating games, sounds being from obscure games, actually getting the sound clips and the sounds should not be from a public sound library...
