So I just recently updated to a post version 2.0 patch, XBSX2 v2.0.8.2 specifically, and while it's fixed a lot of things, improved performance, less/no ghosting in games prone to it, I'm also finding some definite issues, chief among them learning that apparently v2.0 forward made some prior hd texture packs unusable, so I wanted to ask if anyone knows if there's an HD texture pack for The Thing that works on v2.0 forward?

Also found trying to use an HD texture pack on Rise of the Kasai crashes the game, but I've only ever seen one guy make a pack for that game and I already asked directly on his thread if he knows how to fix that.

Also also have found that Haunting Ground, which admittedly already had some issues, crashes probably 9 out of 10 times just trying to get past the introductory cutscene before the game even starts, let alone trying to use with an older texture pack. I've been able to get the game to play for a minute on software rendering, but that's it. Anyone got any settings suggestions there?

I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth it to keep fiddling with v2.0.8.2 for the various benefits it's introduced or if I should just go back to an earlier version. Can't remember exactly what version I was on previously, but, I never had issues with HD textures on it. I'm sure there are more games with issues too, but I haven't gotten around to testing all of the games I've got installed and HD textures for yet, so if I get some help here, I may be back for more later. Appreciate y'all!

I'm sticking with the 1.7.5553 build because the new 2.0 version has brought about visual issues alongside fixes. For instance, in Shadow of the Colossus, while distant blur now scales correctly, it repositions every time the camera moves, which really disorients me.

To resolve the compatibility issue, we need to find or develop a tool that can batch convert image transparency values. This way, we can convert a texture pack to 128 and run tests on it. This should fix 90% of the broken texture packs.

I went digging around and found an older version, so I'm gonna see if maybe I can actually have both versions installed separately simultaneously on the Xbox for different games.
