PS1/2 Verbatim dvd-r

I am having issues with these disc for some reason. I patched the iso files, I have freemcboot, I patched them with ESR and I am using swap magic 3.8. When I try to run the disc from swap magic there is a grey outline on the screen then it goes back to freemcboot. I have wasted a bit of money on blank CDs and I have no idea what I should do. The verbatim disc I'm using has 4.7gb and has 16x writing speed and my model is a ps2 slim 70001. Please help me

Make sure you are burning the disc at the lowest speed rate possible.
Also try running the patched disc from the disc launcher program thingy( I for got what it was called but it should be installed already.

I used sony disc but they load so slow then I got verbatim the next day. Do you have any advice for what speed I really want to play my back ups.

Not sure what you use but I burn my disc with Daemon. Tools and burn the disc at 2x speeds.

I never got ESR patching to work right. It is annoying when you burn disc after disc with no success. Since you already have swap magic, I'd just keep using that with unpatched games.

SwapMagic is for games that have not been patched. If you have patched the ISO with ESR, then use the ESR.ELF to load it, no swap trick needed.
