MAybe getting this one.. never actually played original team fortress...
but what's that peggle extreme?

hm whole package with taxes about 40€ :S

I want the Black Box, but I I'm not going to get it.
Everyone I know that would play HL2 has it, so the chances of me giving it away are remote.

I suppose I am being forced into the Orange Box by the fact that without HL2 and EP1 its more expensive to buy EP2, Portal and TF2. $50 vs $80.

The Black Box should be available (as they only officially canned it at retail) and for $40.

FYI this isn't about money, its about principle I shouldn't be forced to by something I already own just because its cheaper.

you're not buying it. think of it as getting it for free

$50 for portal, ep2 and TF2 is an awesome deal even without the games you already have. if it's about principle just delete the other games you get with it and pretend you never got them

Bought it on the day it was announced, but not from Steam. It seems like a good deal but at the end you have to add on something like $6 of tax. It actually costs me less to pre-order a boxed retail copy that I can hold it my hands than it does to purchase a download-only version from Steam. So that's what I did; prepurchased from a UK store for £23 including free postage. Great deal.

Half life you say, I think I played the first and got bored. Played the (wild) western themed multiplayer mod (at the time it was the only one I had that had bots) and that was OK (awesome weapons scheme).

As for steam I think I will go the luddite route, I just do not like the concept.

Neither do I, but if you want to play the only games worth playing for PC, you have no other alternative. Piracy has driven developers to this route. PC gaming is dead save for Steam.

Good thing I built a machine with the intent of catching up on all the games I missed out on from the last 5 years then rather than the new stuff.

A lot of the games I want to play come through acceptable means as well.

Edit: I decided to be a well educated luddite and there are no real "killer apps" (boring FPS titles and "remakes" hold little interest) that have not been done elsewhere.

I already have HL2 and ep1, but it's still a deal with those other games.

I might start a thread to give away half-life 2 because I can't think of anyone who doesn't already have it, heh.

I'm buying this for 360. I can't flash my console (BenQ drive), so I'm looking for the best deals out there ... and five games (although I've played through HL2 and HL2:E1) for $50? It's a deal.
