Hacking V1.42 R4ids gold upgrade patch released

Well, Im trying to stay on topic, and I want the BEST alternative to R4i-Gold, What is the hands down best cards with 100% upgradable to new FW's track record. I hate buying a new card everytime a new FW comes out.

This is where i have been buying my R4i-Gold cards, and it clearly says its 3DS compatible....
Its said that since Feb 2011, but like I said, I dont have one to test out, I just assumed when I do buy a 3DS i can just pop it in and it would work.

akaio is superior to wood and the acekard team is way more reliable than some clone team

Not at all. Wood is superior to akaio, its only missing special wifi features that aren't necessary and don't work all that well anyway most of the time.
ywg's support wins and thats wood's "super big as fuc* ultimate special feature", you cannot defeat it.
Personally I would prefer wood any day (fuc* that sounds so wrong but Im leaving it for the laughs

) thats why I ended up buying the r4igold in the first place, quality hardware and wood compatible.. that was it.

Btw I've got a 3ds r4igold as well as a non-3ds r4igold (Gotta laugh really, I was so happy with it originally when I got a new DSi I got another and by then they had released the 3ds version, so I have one of each)...

Its the principle though isn't it, I should still have two carts one I can use on my DSi and one that is 3ds compatible.

r4ids.cn better sort this shi* out.

They don't have a update yet for the new FW? $31 is not that bad, I already have a 16gb micro-sd card.

Don't doubt I know what you are saying, just get your facts right first before getting personal with me, wood firmware has AAP support, and I know all about it as I used it when I ran wood on the RPG.That's only on the R.P.G.

I am trying to figure out if the R4-Gold cart I have will play on a 3ds system with older FW. The place I bought it from stated it was 3ds/ds/dsl/dsi/xl compatible.

There is no bricking with flash carts.

While we can't say for sure if Nintendo will brick in the future, it's pretty unlikely seeing as it's illegal (and there's other reasons they won't, too).

None of the 3DS updates so far have added any addition flash cart protection.

Ok,. so if i understand u correctly, u state that all the cards (r4igold from CN) i bought after Feb 2011 work with 3DS systems.
And no longer produced (but stock is still being sold) when the 3DS came out.
Is it the same card, just re-branded to 3DS or a completely different card.
I want to know if I can use this new 3DS firmware patch on NDSi cards produced after Feb 2011???

I had emailed the R4i-Gold (CN) Team, and received a response:

ME: Hello, I have noticed that you no longer advertise the regular R4i Gold Flashcart on your Products page. Do you still support it?
I only see 3DS... Does the NEW patch work with Regular R4i-Gold Revolution Flashcart?

I have bought over 10 Regular R4i-Gold Revolution carts because of the Wood Firmware.

R4i Team: Currently we are still working on the patch for the old R4ids card(non-3DS), will let you know once release...

So the patch is coming hopefully? [Cross-your-fingers]

In the mean-time I am going to explore other Carts...
