im maxing out at 50kb/s. Is this normal? I thought this was faster....

That's with my VPN on my phone.

It shows 5 seeds.

I'll try Deluge also.

I had issues with UTorrent and my VPN too, forgot how I fixed it. I've switched to a different client since.

That wont fix your issue. Its an issue with utorrent and the vpn.

How? That's easy. I just spent $1200 to build a rig for video editing, and I spend $180 a month on cable and Internet. I didn't pay for premium Internet to get average speeds. My iPhone shows 5mb/s upload, so my brand new computer should be close to that. It's not a VPN issue, as the speed tests were ran with the VPN running on both my iPhone and comp. I just uninstalled cFosspeed, so I'll restart and see how that goes.

I had zero issues with mine except I have 2.2.1 without all that ad garbage crap so yeah..

have you tried qBitTorrent? And why are you using a VPN? If you're using a vpn because of your provider, they can probably still throttle torrents that are tunneled through a vpn.

Get a seedbox.
If you're having a VPN, I can recommend a seedbox (especially on private torrent networks)

Try downloading a torrent that you know for sure has lots of seeds so we can discount the torrent as the culprit.
And I haven't used deluge, but I can vouch for qbittorrent, I started using it after utorrent went to shit and it's worked perfectly since.

I use that + a vpn and assuming there are enough seeds, I max my connection (8MB/s or so).
