uTorrent is Going so Slow!

It gets really annoying when I download a torrent with like 300 seeders on it. Sure, it's fast, but afterwards it's almost impossible to seed back!

Well if you don't like it don't download it. You're not forced to download the file, nor are you from that source in particular (not to mention the fact that you're getting such items for free).

Once way to solve this issue is to download other files that have a very high leech number (of course from the same site), even if they are of things that you have no interest in. Such files are usually ones that have just been released (as was the case with the 300+ users who downloaded the file before you did). Of course the larger the file, the longer it'll take before you can seed a substantial amount of data, but (depending on the no. of leechers) the quicker your ratio will be in "the black".

For Private Trackers, how long do I need to seed? Because I usually like to close uTorrent as soon as I'm done.

Anyway, seeding is like seeding in real life. You create more oxygen in the atmosphere for other people to breath.

You need to seed an equal amount to your download, otherwise you'll be banned. People tend to seed more on private sites so they are loved by the community more.

Depends on the private tracker I will seed for a ratio of 1.0

Its the best practice because eventually you will get banned otherwise. Plus many trackers frown apon hit and running.
