Hardware Using PS4 headset on undocked Nintendo Switch

Hi!

I've read multiple posts on using wireless headsets on the Nintendo Switch and the one that got my attention is the PS4 headset (Since I already have one). https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSwitch/comments/8nzgrq/sony_wireless_headset_working_with_switch/

In dock mode you can you put the USB in the dock, but undocked you need a USB-C to USB-A adapter. This might be a weird question, but can the wrong adapter brick you Switch like the wrong USB-C to USB-A power cable can?

Does anyone have some good recommendations for adapters? I'm especially looking for one with an angle so the dongle doesn't stick out vertical but horizontal.
