I'm slightly amateur at this homebrew stuff, but my main question is like can I use a GameCube controller say on USB loader or a Homebrew option where I can boot the disc of a Wii game but use the GameCube controller with a specific setting to run as like a pro controller or a classic controller for games like Need for Speed carbon?

No, just the games that are compatible with the GC can be used, i seem more options when games that use the wiimote+nunchuck have cheats to use a classic controller like new super mario bros and Rune factory Tides of destiny

@Ryccardo The lag is pretty substantial with those, so playing something like Smash Bros won't work well.
Need for speed carbon also supported gamecube controllers natively iirc, so there are projects that may be what you search for someday.
There are 2 projects to patch wii games to use the gamecube usb adapter, but they seem to be limited to select games and maybe also requires an origininal disc, not sure about that.
