Hacking Usbloadergx not seeing usb?

Hello,
After asking my original question on hacking the wii, I went and did it. To do so I followed this guide to a T. But usbloadergx will not recognize my usb. I've done some searching and I have it in the right port and everything (tried both) but it still wont work. Any help?

So at the part where you install the d2x cios, did you go with v10beta53 or v10beta52?

Tried both, even went in usbloadergx settings and set it to both.

I don't think that's recommended.

Use beta52 for both (249 with base 56 and 250 with base 57) and try again. Make sure the loader is set to use ios249. If it still doesn't work, it could be a problem with how the drive is formatted.

Tried 2 usb's already. Trying one again along with what @justjack said.

Do your drives have their own power sources? If not, some usb drives require a y adapter so you can plug your drive into both ports at the same time - as using a single port doesn't provide enough power.

Maybe it's because you set the loader to use both ports. Set it to port 0 only and try again.
