Hacking USBLoader with Game Images

can someone post a forwarder that works good with 56killer dol? i have the one from kedest (was working fine with nixxloader showing all art from folder /apps/usbloader/images). now after switching dol to 56killer, i dont see the images. i tried in /images and /apps/usbloader/images. no dice. maybe i need a diff forwarder with the 56killer dol?

move them to the SD root \images

i already did try from both SD root (/images) and from /apps/usbloader/images. now i will try covers.. so this has nothing to do with forwarder?

i think it has to be /images folder in root of SD. it loads the background fine but does not load any images for the games. i think someoen else had that same problem. wonder how they fixed it..

Try using this dol for the forwader channel. Its the one I'm using and it works with my mod of nixx,Credits to him, and loads the images just fine.

confused. is this the dol to replace in the apps/usbloader or is this to inject in forwarder channel? i dont know how to make the forwarder channel. i am using the kedest one. can you just post both your forwarder channel wad AND your usbloader boot.dol? and confirm where the images folder needs to be?

Sorry for all the problems. I re-edit the source now it doesn't use the blank.png image pointed out by usptactical,thank you, So you shouldn't have any more problems.Sorry

If they used my source it´s possible that they have a stupid little bug
the array (imgPath[20]) is most likely to short and that´s why some people see the pictures or only the bg.png because the bg.png still fit´s in the array but the images not.
Change it to imgPath[200] or so then it works

all images loaded perfectly there

#define MAX_CHARACTERS 38

to #define MAX_CHARACTERS 37

To fix the long name bug where it creates the extra line.

Just one thing, it seems that the image display area has moved a bit lower compared to the latest nIxx's version I was using, someone must have changed it slightly between the original release and this one?

i will also put in a request to 56killer to incorporate the 2 bugfixes pointed out (i did see the extra lines in the text listing - now i know what was causing it) and if possible make a kiddo version too. thanks so much mate. i am ready to handover the Wii to the kids once you are done with it. poor kids have been holding out thanks to the parade of gui loaders. but thats how it has evolved so far and i do appreciate everyone involved with coding and testing and bug-solving.

also, is there a way to continously scroll when holding the down d-pad? or does it jump a set number of listings? i noticed something to that effect in 56killer dol but was not sure if it was working consistently.

edit: whoa! you ar etoo fast 56killa. does the kiddo version include the bugfixes pointed out by nixx and usptactical?

Do you have the noimage.png because you need it. If you don't have it I think it doesn't work.

So... I've noticed that the cover art location on this background is slightly different than other background images. Also, it is slightly larger than the 160x225px size. Is this the "nixx" version?

I got it working now. Must have been the loader I was using; weird.

With the latest kid proof version by 56killer I get the "Exception (DSI)" error when I press the power button, I'm not sure but I think this was fixed in a previous version?

k, i finally figured this out for sure. i had about 70 images on there, i ended up deleting about 50 of them, when nIxx was sayin about the limit there. it was really at 20, so

56killer can you make a new dol with that limit not at 20? beceause when i only have so many pictures, it will work, but id like to have it foro all of them, he said put it up to about 200, if you can at least get it to 200, and that solves this issue. works great if that gets worked out.

EDIT: nevermind, images still arent loading, that just works for the one loader http://www.theotherzone.com/wii/usbloader.zip

im givin up for now, sounds like a few others have had the same issues, hope this gets worked out, thanks for helpin mate

You will use whatever dol file you have and whatever background image you want.


Im running it on mine and it works just fine.Just look back a few pages in this topic and you should find it.
