Sorry if this has been covered, but I've searched and couldn't find anything. Do I need Brick blocker when loading iso through USB Loader? I'm mostly worried about loading a out of region game and having it break my wii with an update. Do the firmware update routines run when the iso is loaded, or only when the disc is read through system menu?

Thanks!

I keep a master backup of all my Wii ISOs on my Seagate 1-TB, and all of them have been brick-blocked. They all work perfectly on the USB Loader, unless they have been confirmed as incompatible due to other reasons. So brickblocking doesn't seem to have any negative effects, but I don't recommend applying any other patches in case of future updates/compatibility issues.
