USB Stack Exploitation?

    This is a theory.

    Since the USB stacks do not get as much testing as they deserve, do you think that we might be able to use a teency (or similar) to send a malformed USB descriptor to the WiiU to get code execution? Similar to the new chromecast root.

    It's quite possible, and in fact likely, that there is such a vulnerability in the Wii U's USB stack. But we probably won't know about it until we have access to IOSU, so that we can look at its USB drivers.

    I might just see what happens with the chromecast root. :-P

    Been reading, I found this sentance: "These bugs have been observed by the author in a popular tablet device and also a well-known games console." Might we have a winner? ()More info later)

    xbox hack did not use bugs in usb stack afaik

    The chromecast root expoit did nothing, all I had time for. I have been busy as of late.
