Hacking USB Ports dead after semi brick?

Hello,

I think after I semi-bricked my wii (but fixed it) my usb ports are dead. My mic all of a sudden doesn't work right, cutting out often in the middle of songs.

Is there any other way to test to see if my USB ports are dead?

Have you got a usb loader? that would be able to detect your hard drive if they are working.

Plus, I don't have an external hard drive to check if the usb ports are working.
