Since I'm having trouble with installing games on the Wii, I was wondering what was wrong.

It worked sometimes...

And now and then it works.

anyway, I just noticed when I'm using USB Loader GX, and I try to install a new game, and I don't even put a disc in, it tells me after I clicked cancel:
Can't open disc drive.

And it also tells me this, when I have a DVD inserted.
Anyway, the DVD's are seen by the DISC Channel, and are playable on the Other Wii...

I'm stuck on this problem and I first thought it would be CIOS 236 which wasn't on my Wii.
But this isn't the problem, also the WIi plays normal games just fine.

Any solution so far?

Thank you

UPDATE: Backup Launcher Channel doesn't work either...

Any backup tells me: Error 324.

The Wii is December 2007... and worked always fine.

I've installed Cmios I guess, maybe that is when it all went wrong? Or even earlier?
Could it be the Disc Drive?

Any suggestions?

Anyway the MEDIA THAT I USE:

is DVD-ROM Philips, which has been working fine always, and IS working fine on the Wii upstairs.

- The only thing that can cause this is the NSMW update, I did through the Disc Channel, but even though after that, some backups still work.

The question is now:
Could it be possible that DVD-ROM's just don't work anymore on my Wii? And I should go over on DVD-R...

- Also, can I load games from USB to USB HDD.

I posted a similar problem just yesterday and I've yet to find a solution. Suddenly my disk drive stopped reading all disks (both burnt and purchased games) from both the usb loaders and the disk channel. Strange thing is it doesn't appear to be a hardware failure (which is obviously everyone's first guesss) bsc it will still dump disks from dvd dumper!!

EDIT: Mine work from the DISC Channel, (original) purchased.
They just don't work from the Backup Launcher, or the USB Loaders. (official one's do), just the copies which work upstairs, don't work downstairs.
Weird weird.
