Maybe i can just add a bit to the whole 16:9-confusion. On my PAL wii with an old 4:3 CRT TV at 50Hz, using V6.7 with rev10 and a 640x480 backgroundimage it also shows me a black bar at the bottom.

i noticed on a youtube video for the uloader that theres an option to change the cIOS. I'm not sure if this is of any use to you coders but in the video he changes a game to from cIOS249 to cIOS222.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-596jAJ9ug

i just thought I'd mention this since the wiki page mentions something about IOS249 games not working. i dont know the first thing about any of this stuff so forgive me if this isnt at all helpful

You have to add the 16:9 fix code to the source file video.c and recompile it.

- Thanks, im going to try that when im home from school, but still sounds pretty complicated for a guy like me

New background:

To use this new background properly, add following lines to your config.txt
Code:
console_coords=40,71,340,290
console_color=7,15
covers_coords=446,109

using these setting im still getting a black bar along bottom of my widescreen tv ? can someone plz share me with their config txt plz !

The black bar at the bottom has nothing to do with the coords of the console. The console is only the white box where the games are listed. So changing it's position shouldn't affect the position of the background.

any ideas then ? the game names and game covers are displayed correctly in their boxes !

Is it the same in ALL homebrew programs, is it like this on real Wii games?

What TV Brand, Model you have. What mode is the TV in (Widescreen, Stretch, Textfitting, Superwide)

Wii Console, is it a PAL or NTSC, and what hz is it running, 50hz or 60hz?

ultimate v6.6 1.1 can not work with forwarder for path other than c:/apps/usbloader/, when worked as a second loader. Just display the word "What?" and then enter the HBC.

That's not the problem of the loader i guess. Your forwarder is set to look at C:/apps/usbloader/

No. I have set to look at C:/apps/usbload_2/ and was tested to work for other loader.

You may test it : http://rapidshare.com/files/221106635/USB_...oad_2_.wad.html

Interesting. If you see a display "What" then that means the forwarder could not find the loader. I will try it.

I tried other loaders and your wad seems not working for me.

Sorry. My mistake.

But, I found that the loader v6.6 (1.1) does not use the titles.txt in my specific folder in which the boot.dol is run.

In the first post .... where it says "V6.7 (both 1.1 and 1.4 included)" do the 1.1 and 1.4 refer to which revision of cIOS you've got installed (ie rev9 or rev10) or does this loader now rely on Waninkoko's loader as well ?

I can confirm this bug as well, my titles.txt was loading just fine with v6.0 now I put it in the same folder as .dol and no corrected titles are loaded up.

First off all, i want to say that this is great work!

I have a few questions i'd like to ask
- when covers are set to download, will the downloaded covers be added to the 'images' directory, so it only has to download every pictute once?
- what are the correct coordinates for the covers to display on a PAL console using the different layouts.
- could someone do a nice spiderman layout/background to use with the loader (standard + kids)
- when i install r10 of the IOS, do i not need the v4 FW update anymore to enable SDHC support?
- Will the r10 also enable the SD menu option in the system menu?

I've tried to find answers to these questions but had no,luck yet in finding them
Thank for answering these questions and keep up the great work

1. Yes, they are saved in the images folder, and you down need to download them again.
2. -
3. -
4. For Wii official retail and wiiware stuff you need fw v4 to use SDHC.
5. No, you need fw v4 for that.

hungyip84, is it possible to add back "Force PAL" and "Force NTSC" to V4 version?

There are some NTSC Wii console other than USA, such as Japan, Taiwan and Korea and sometimes require to set "Force PAL" to get game start properly.

It will be great for us to get video mode as "System default", "Game default", "Force PAL", "Force NTSC", "Patch".
It's true as we are suffered from the same problem. The "Patch" option doesn't work on a JP console and only "Force PAL" does.

do i realy need cIOS rev10 to use the 1.1 or 1.4 loader?
just read that USB LAN devices wont work with the cIOS rev10.... :-(
can someone please confirm
