Hacking USB Loader... my turn ;)

Just found this. Looks great.
I'll be putting 7.4 on my Wii tonight.

I'd love to have it in a wad though so I (and others, I'd like to keep it as simple as possible for them) don't have to go through the HBC.
Can I get this bad boy in a WAD?

I don't want to mess with injecting stuff myself if possible, but if I have to, could I inject it into an existing WAD (say, the 1.1 USB Loader) without bricking my Wii?
That way I'd get a icon on the system menu that makes sense to people (as opposed to using the generic forwarder wad).

I recommend you use a forwarder channel. That makes updating a lot eaiser

I thought that was the one that crashes when nunchuck is plugged in

I tried using the general forwarder, and it just throws up a DSI error and a code dump. (With or without a nunchuck.)
I'll try your loader tonight.

I also tried injecting the .dol for the usb loader into another usb loader's wad, but that just resulted in a blank screen. The loader works fine from the homebrew channel, so either I injected it wrong (autoinjectuwad hangs at waiting for final injected wad, but does output the wad file, and using the injector via command line outputs the same file, with no errors), or... I dunno.

So, why the loader download the GOOD .png but don't display?

that's a problem with the image on the server... i noticed the same thing.

I ended up using the one packed with version 7, and just using version 7.4 of the .dol .
Works great.

I found this bug (don't know if I am the only one having it...):
I have to uninstall the cios rev10 and reinstall it everytime, I quit a game loaded from usb loader; otherwise it just gets stuck on the loader menu with empty boxes or just the background, I then have to hold the power button to switch it off and uninst/reinstall cios rev10.
Are my the only one having this problem?

I do not have that error.... all works fine with me.

I have a problem where ill go through and add covers via wifi.. (thats not a problem) its when i press A to bring up a game (wii custom disc spinning animation) then it will lockup.. if i was to press a before it animated for few seconds its fine.. but if i let the animation go for bit it will lockup..

this must be a bug as im forced to power off the wii.. as no butotn on remote nor does the cursor move..

sweet quad post noob...

but there already is a 30 sec delay implemented... if your HD isn't recognized in 30 seconds, it'll time out, and not let you use the loader... if your HD isn't being seen, the USB connector isn't supported. sorry
