I mean the link is in this thread. Where do you want me to ask about it? Cyan has been really helpful even though it's not his responsibility. Also greywolf sorry I got confused about which file I was using.

he just meant that you should have known that you weren't using the official version, and by using a modified version you have of course something different. if not, why even download a modded version if you don't know what you'll get? You chose the tabmod because you wanted the tabs at the top, and the top menu moved to the game counter place. if you didn't want the tab mod with moved top-menu, then why choose the tabmod version ?

maybe you just saw "1266" and though "heyyyyy, bigger number = newer version = better !" without even noticing that it wasn't the official version.

that's what he said "even if explicitly written, not sure people will make the difference and will know what they are downloading"

I don't want to be rude or disrespectful with anybody, but, in first page :

- @Badablek is maintaining a "tabmod" of latest releases : November 07 2017 build, 1266+tabmod

This is obviously written that my build is a MOD.
Then, the link sends to my message with the latest links to binary/sources, which, I will quote myself, is crystal clear :

if it can be useful to anybody, here is the new USBLoader GX rev 1266, compiled with tabmod.

Binary
Sources

Please remember this is NOT an official build. If it crashes or makes your wii burn, do not bother Cyan or any official developer(s). You should only report bugs you have when using the official build(s).
I tried it quickly (with some Wii/Gamecube/Wiiware games) and it worked great.

Thank you Cyan for this new revision.

At every new revision, I compile tabmod with the same message to not bother Cyan or any official developer(s) with my own build. When you use unofficial builds, you accept implicitly to respect mod's/modder's rules.
Mine is easy : Do not report anything related to my build in the official thread. Take my build as it is (a mod) which can have some tweaks in its interface and/or functionalities. It should never interfere in any way to the main stream line of development of USBLoader GX.

This is only to avoid confusion, nothing else.

What was the problem with the Nintendont Wii U widescreen setting? Does it just need to be added to the per-game settings?

Why is the USB Loader GX repository still being held on SourceForge?

I don't like SourceForge and think that GitHub's way better and has a nicer interface.

I'm managing to get a code dump whenever I try to change per-game settings on GC games. Has anyone had this issue in the past? I know it wasn't a problem when I was still using GreyWolf's fork. For reference I am using the latest OFFICIAL build r1265.

I'm having the same issue...But it seems that after the code dump, when you go back into USBLGX and go into game settings it works fine. It's just that initial attempt that makes it crash, at least in my situation. I'm on Official 1265 as well.

I appreciate the help. Unfortunately I'm still having the problem even after the loader resets. Hopefully it'll just fix itself at some point since I don't really rely on game-specific settings all that often.

Did you have settings for GC games already configured from an older version of USB Loader GX? It could be a problem with an incompatible data file.

I went ahead and wiped my old config files after updating because I was having other issues. This problem is occurring on fresh configs save for a few global settings changes (change loader to IOS 58, etc).

I've encountered the same issue. Sometimes loading GC settings works, but most of the time I end up crashing. I seemed to have an increased success rate of loading GC settings if I load a Wii WAD/ISO custom settings immediately before. Is this the same dump you get?

I've encountered this issue on fresh setups of r1265. I figured that I was the only one having this issue considering I am still the only one to report the WiiU WiiVC issue.

Yup, down to the letter. I guess I should mention that I'm also using vWii.

Is this something that's only occurring when launching from the WiiVC mode? AFAIK that's not supported so far with USB Loader GX. The official loader requires a cIOS and I don't think those are available in VC mode.

I was having the issue in vWii and WiiVC modes. The dump I posted was from vWii mode sometime last week.

USBLoaderGX almost always is able to return to HBC/Wii Menu. I've encountered a full lockup a few times after this error.

yes, that's what he wanted.
a per-game setting to set WiiU widescreen.
of course it should be displayed only on WiiU.
I forgot why it was hard to do (there was a reason, I need to find it).

two reason :
1. I don't understand how to use git at all.
2. the revision numbers are based on svn commit number

I know both can be changed, but I need a real tutorial how git is working. not, it's not natural for me to push/pull in local while it's already done locally, and it's HARD for me to understand how to make "real" branckes and forks, without deleting the current progress.
you have to "backup the current progress" switch branch "restore uncomited changed" work on it "backup with patch" and delete your work to switch back to main branch, etc.
Why can't you have two branches at the same time ?
you are forced to create 2 separated repository... ?

I prefer the linear workflow.

there is a github version of the loader that I did if you want to fork the project, but it will not compile (because it still contains svn references in the sources), you'll have to edit those sources to compile with git versioning or completely remove the versioning like greywolf did to prevent confusion on the revision number with the official release and modded ones.

You can have multiple branches locally without swapping files. Just check the branches out to a separate folder. You can also use "stash changes" to temporarily revert what you're working on to get back to the repository's working tree.

I generally don't even work on the master branch of Streamline when I'm working on it. I branch it then merge the branch back into master before pushing it to the repository.

This version gitrev.sh should do the same thing as the current svnrev.sh. It sets the revision to the commit count. "git rev-list --count HEAD" will give you the equivalent of the SVN revision.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

The issue is happening for me on a regular Wii (not WiiU).

Hmm... is it creating the GXGameSettings.cfg file?
