You can try with beta52[base56] instead.
r53 has more issues. that's why v10 was released in two version (stable r52, unstable r53 with dual port support, but most people think last=best so everybody and most guides tell users to install r53).
that might not fix your problem, but that will be one less thing to worry about to find what's wrong.
Hi @Cyanmay I ask if you changed anything related to Ocarina support ?
I'm not a cheater (I hate that), but playing DKCR with my Snes classic controller is a must have (thanks Crediar )...I didn't play it for a while, but today I tried to launch it, but ocarina makes it crash at boot (black screen). I tried your official latest build, mine (with and without tab mod), and rev1258. As this is the only game I have (one) cheat for, I only activated ocarina for this game.
I haven't touch Ocarina in the last few releases.
The last changes I did on the debugger/hooktype is enabling the debugger even if Ocarina is OFF to use "gameconfig.txt" for games which require it to fix AntiPiracy check or SmashBros ProjectM.
Though, I never tested that as I don't have the required games. (SSBB PAL doesn't work, and I don't have any game requiring gameconfig)
did you try a different game with any cheat? just to know if the issue is all ocarina, or only that game, or only that cheatcode.
hey, maybe crediar released a gameconfig instead of cheat? he usually did that.
the cheat was a converted ASM to Ocarina, but Crediar usually released ASM patches directly to be use with gameconfig.
I have the one for Kirby, I don't remember if I kept the one for DK.
Thanks for your quick answer. I will try with other games on your official build.
ps : this cheat was working since its release with USBLGX
Wasn't gameconfig for Kirby only made to defeat metafortress ? classic hack was made with ocarina, if I remember well.
EDIT : it seems USBLGX does not make good GCT files. Everytime I try to generate DKCR gct in USBLGX, it makes an empty file now (with an old build, it makes a 280 bytes file)
When I tried in NSMBW, with the full cheat file downloaded, same happened. I then kept only two tiny cheats, and it worked (gct : ok, cheats in-game : ok). It's like USBLGX doesn't like too long txtcodes anymore...
Is there a problem to use a custom path for GCT codes ? Here is my GXGlobal.cfg :
as you can see, I like using USBLGX default app folder for all its stuff. Hope there is no additionnal slash to a path (I double-checked before posting )
EDIT2 : my bad, again, I made a big mistake, I should have checked that before posting
my txtcode file was missing the Title ID (first line) and Title Game (second line). And it seems that USBLGX is not really happy with that (I saw my mistake when using codemanager to generate the GCT file) ! I thought it was the txtcode I was using since its release, I was wrong.
I have added proper "header" to my txtcode, and guess what...now it works
Next time I'll have to triple check before posting annoying and false bug reports...sorry @Cyan
There was something strange in the ocarina generator, names were really strange...now it's crystal clear !
As the Title ID and Game Title were missing, USBLGX was using the first line (C24A5410 00000020) of the cheat code as the Title ID of the game, and the second line (38210050 7C0802A6) of the cheat code as the Game Title.
So the cheat code was missing the first two lines, I understand why I had a black screen !!!
It's time to sleep, my mind is dead (how to feel stupid in one lesson )
disc = use the region of the disc.
if it's PAL, it's setting PAL as nintendont option and set the Wii video mode setting before launching nintendont.
system default = use the region of the system
if it's NTSC console, it's setting NTSC as nintendont option and set the Wii video mode setting before launching nintendont.
in both cases, it's never FORCED. it doesn't set the "forced" flag in nintendont video config and the game can switch it back to a different preferred mode.
if you want to force a video mode, you need to specifically choose one of the PAL or NTSC options.
I've been trying to use USB Loader GX as a Nintendont front-end, and I'm having trouble with Luigi's Mansion PAL on my USA Wii U. If I load Nintendont on its own and try to load the game while forcing NTSC, it works fine, but if I use USB Loader GX to do the same thing, my TV says the resolution isn't supported, leading me to believe it's still getting stuck in PAL. Am I doing something wrong here?
Badablek : don't worry.
The important is that you found the issue and now it works.
Maybe there could be a warning for badly formed txt file?
KhaderWelaye:
It's because you are "forcing" PAL 480p ?
if you force "progressive", USBLoaderGX will tell nintendont that progressive is required, and I think Luigi's mansion PAL doesn't have that mode.
You should select "disc default", so nintendont get that you want to use PAL, but it will not force progressive.
Or you could try "PAL 576i" instead of 480p.
Or it's caused by another option, be sure "progressive patch" option is not enabled.
or try to enable that option when forcing progressive video mode.
PAL 480p + progressive patch.
Sorry if it's confusing you, I didn't try nintendont for a long time.
if it works with nintendont from HBL, it means one of the option you are selecting in USBLoaderGX is generating a different setting sent to nintendont than the one generated when launched from HBL.
Hi again, which forwarder to I have to install to get USBloaderGX as a channel again?
I need to use a .wad installer, but don't know what is the most widely used/updated for the task. Thanks a lot.

You want the "UNEO" 5.1 forwarder. Make sure you get the right one, there is a Wii one and a vWii one. There is no full channel version anymore. Just use the forwarder and the boot.dol file on SD or HDD.
I find Multi Mod Manager to be the most stable WAD manager but you need either a plain Wii remote or GC controller for it. There never was an official update to support Wii Motion + remotes.

That's what i was going at. There are a lot of versions on the download page that's in the first post. I would need to grab the latest that doesn't have vWii anywhere on it, yes?
What do you mean with "plain" wii remote? I have a motion plus and a normal one which i suspect may not be original. And a GCN controller. Do i need anything else?
the Motion+ controller will probably not work with "multi mod manager" as it's an old manager. Though, you can use your gamecube controller with it.
Another, more recent wad manager is this one : YAWMM, it will work fine with Wii, vWii, Wii motion+, etc.
it uses AHB access (no need of cIOS 236 or 249).
for the forwarder, get the v5.1 without vWii in the name.
Hello, I'm having a few issues with usb-loader-gx (really like this app and hope I can get it working). I decided I was tired of swapping discs so I bought a WD My Passport Ultra 1 tb hd, for usb loading of wii and gamecube games. I ripped my games using the current version of the app (1262) and saved them to the hd. All my gamecubes games worked fine with nintendont. However I had a few issues with wii games.
I was loading the app with cIOS d2x v8 and several games wouldn't load. A few worked. Super smash bros brawl loaded and played fine but didn't detect the save on the wii system. So I updated to d2x-v10beta52 and SSBB was able to access the wii system save file. Zelda twilight princess desyncs the wiimote and freezes on loading screen. Animal crossing wii freezes on loading screen, raving rabbids gets a dsi exception error. Several games work fine.
So i'm kinda stumped as what to do. I've updated all the ios and cios via modmii. tried reformatting the hd a couple times (it's formatted fat with 32k clusters) verified all the ripped disk with wii backup manager. I've also tried loading the app via usb and sd.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated, just let me know if I can provide any further information.

my suggestion - try re ripping the games that don't work with CleanRip. usbloader gx isn't perfect when it comes to ripping wii games. how did you verify them with wii backup manager?
the SSBB savegame issue is not due to d2x v8 (I use it and saves are fine).
maybe you enabled the emuNAND option, even inadvertently?
be sure you don't have "EmuNAND Save" option enabled.
About the other games, that's strange that it freezes or even crashes with dsi.
Do you have an official Wiimote or a third party? Is it a Wiimote or a Wiimote+?
Zelda twilight princess is old, and maybe it doesn't like wiimote+ controllers?
you can try the slot222 or 223 with Zelda twilight princess, maybe using an old cIOS will work better with old games?
Unsync can also be a symptom of badly installed cIOS, but it would unsync with all the games, not just 4. so I don't think the issue is the cIOS.
I used cleanrip on zelda and rayman rabbids and still have same errors.
I'm positive emuNAND is not enabled.
I'm using official wiimotes.
Both wiimotes I tried are the older version with no motion+
I tried a few older versions of cIOS on zelda with no success.
Perhaps these errors are hard drive related?
I have a second wii. Tomorrow I will test this hard drive on it to see if it has the same errors.
Does that drive come with a utility that you can set options on the drive with? If so make sure any encryption and power saving is disabled and see if that helps.
I downloaded a utility for the drive and it allowed my to disable a sleep setting, but there was no option for security.
Tried this drive on my other wii and it has the same errors. Also tried it with the other 2 usb loaders and experienced similar errors. I'm guessing this drive just don't want to work with homebrew.

Did you delete all the partition and reformat all the HD ? If not, repartition it and use FAT32_GUI_Formatter to format it with 32k cluster. It will be the base to begin the good way.......

Sorry for the late reply. It is like you said, I am trying to force this game into NTSC 480i or 480p, which works when I set the necessary options with nintendont via HBL, but not if I set the options with USB Loader GX (I basically just use USB Loader GX as a frontend for nintendont).
Nintendont probably changed some of the launch flags at some point, I doubt any of the Wii loaders are still being updated so I'll probably just end up using Nintendont on its own without a frontend (too bad nintendont on its own doesn't support game specific options)
