Oh, well they should be mbr. How to check, just in case?
Edit: Never mind, I found it. They are MBR.
Nevermind. I solved it. Turns out to be a bad SD card. Swapped my 2GB SD for my 4GB SDHC and it works like a charm.![]()
Great! If it helps any your syscheck report looks fine for USB Wii/GC. Glad you got it sorted!
Unfortunately, not really. Just try to stay with homebrew that's still active and try to report bugs in stuff you're using. Over the last year I've learned that it's hit-or-miss. Some stuff falls by the wayside and some new ideas pop up. I just try to remember it's a console and wasn't intended to do anything except run retail games. Anything else is a bonus.![]()
I got a few ideas. But to avoid this thread from getting too much off topic, PM me or create a new thread if you want me to give you a few of the things I have set up in my Wii.Great!
You got any tips & tricks on how to improve the overall experience of my Wii? Performance, visual, setup, brew...?![]()
Yes, that's what I can recall from my hardcore Wii days. As with any console, anything added by a community or non-official dev us a bonus. Too bad that so much have faded from the Wii-scene... I remember playing the Bermuda syndrome port a while back, but due to the fact that it doesn't support the Wii+ remote I can't play it no more. It died alongside so many great Brew's when people stopped updating them with the new SDK.
A well, that was a bit off-topic. Guess I just have to compile myself and revive all the golden nuggets. ;P
Thanks for sticking around and helping to make things better. The only other thing I would love to see added to USB Loader GX is to be able to see both the disc image and the banner image. As it stands right now I have to choose between the 2. My idea was to somehow show the banner animation from the Wii Disc Channel of the spinning disc drop down and then have the banner play. But instead of a generic disc image it would be the actual disc image for that game. I had mentioned this idea to @Cyan a while ago. Not sure if it's doable or even how it would be done. Just an idea since you you said you were looking into contributing to the loader. If it helps any I'm still here after a little over a year. I released a tool to help people get their backups organized so they work.I'm still examining the ULGX source to see if there's any more that I can contribute but it's not very documented and slow-going. I checked out a BUNCH of Wii source from Google Code in case I might find a use for it later.
You know now that you mention it, for years I been using a regular 4:3 TV until a few months ago when it broke down and I bought a new HDTV but I never use wide screen on Wii, in fact I set the options like this "Loader Settings>Aspect Ratio>Force 4:3" though I just tried "System Default" and it gives me the same issue, can you guide me to how to fix this issue? When I play games I like to keep aspect ratio the original view so it doesn't bother me in 4:3!I don't know if it's your issue, nor don't remember if it's neogeo related, but I think these games only work in interlace mode. or non wide-screen, or something like that. you need to set the Wii back to "old display style". (4:3 interlace)
If you use NEEK and want to keep auto-boot game enabled, you will have to create two different EmuNAND dump, with two different NEEK video settings.
install the games in both NAND path, so you always see all your games, but edit the individual path for that game's emuNAND to use the correct NEEK settings for autoboot.
No cheats, I don't think cheats work with EmuNAND anyway! Are you using any cheats? I noticed whenever I tried using any cheats on Neo Geo games I would always get an error.

the video settings in the loader has no effect when launching a channel with neek mode.in fact I set the options like this "Loader Settings>Aspect Ratio>Force 4:3" though I just tried "System Default" and it gives me the same issue, can you guide me to how to fix this issue?
So lets say you do the 2 window thing. One will show the disc and the next will show the banner. Can you make it so window 1 (the disc window) doesn't show the start and settings buttons and then automatically advances to window 2 (the banner window with both the settings and start buttons) after a set amount of time? This way it will seem like how I originally envision with the spinning disc dropping in and then showing the banner.@Clutz450 and @GreyWolf:
I tried to think about it when you requested it, but I don't see how to make it look good with both channel and disc.
I can make the window follow one after the other, but it would only feel strange to have to click "start" button twice in two different window to launch a game.
(I thought the disc view did show the real disc image, but I don't use it but so I may be mistaken.)
