Cyan alright thanks, so if I wanna use my regular memory card with DM or Devo I just set it to "off"? I still use Devo and DM with some games so I still use the memory card, I'll use a separate save file "individual" for Donkey Konga 3 "for obvious reasons" and set the other games to multi "enabled "!

btw what about Triforce games if I run with QF and wanna have save enabled? Sorry for bothering!

yes, it's not called "multi" in USBLoaderGX, it's called "Enabled" like with devolution.
I try to keep/harmonize the same menu names, and I find "multi" word to be confusing. Multiple memory card? It's not explicitly telling it's "multiple game on a single card" for users who didn't follow nintendont development.

Disabled : no card or real card with devo/DM/DML
Enabled : single card for all games (Forced to maximum size ! 16MB)
Individual : a card per game

If you use a per game card, you can choose the card blocks size manually.

Which version of the loader?
I fixed the geckocode issue long time ago.
You mentioned which version so i checked it. It turned out to be out of date so i updated the loader and it works now.

the full version is only 3 files, and you already have them.
sd:/apps/usbloader_gx/
boot.dol
meta.xml
icon.png

That's the full version, If I'm not mistaking, you already have revision 1231 (the latest one).
If you don't have 1231, you can find a copy in my signature or my blog.
in the folder named "IOS249", you will find the three files required for the full install, put/replace them in the folder above.

What you can try:
delete the GXGlobal.cfg file located in the folder.
maybe it's corrupted, and prevent saving.
Verify the file is not write protected too (it prevent games to run, it's possible it prevent file to be saved).
verify the SD card is not write protected (but I guess not, or the loader would be very slow)

if you want a real full install, delete everything from the folder and keep only the 3 files.
it will re-create every needed files.
But I suggest keeping a copy of current folders (covers, language, etc.) so you don't need to reinstall everything.

Oh, it can be the last!, the loader is very slow. How can I fix it?

look at your SD card, there's a little switch on the side.
put it on the "unlock" position (switch must be on the top)

Well, I can't do it, my sister broke it :P
With wiiflow happens the same. Well, thanks anyway, it was only a problem from my adapter

if the switch is broken or absent, you could have issue with savegame on nintendont too. (if you have the game on Sd, it will try to save the memory card on SD too, but will fail due to write protection)

You can put a piece of scotch tape over the spot where the switch was and that should fix it

I checked to add the dual "Rotating disc+banner" but it looks a little harder than I thought. I'll take a better look later.

Thanks Cyan for looking into getting both the rotating disc and banner working. I also had a few other questions.

I was told a while back when I posted in the googlecode Beta test issues page that I can update USB Loader GX from within the app. I am currently on r1129 and I see that the newest version is r1231. But when I press the button to update USB Loader GX it says "No new updates." It's not that big of a deal as I know I can just download the latest version from your signature and update the app on my SD card. But I just wanted to make sure I was using and understanding the update USB Loader GX feature correctly. Like were there any other settings I needed to mess with before it works correctly?

Another issue I've noticed is that the app sometimes freezes when I try to install a new game. It's never in the same spot either. The only thing I haven't tried was using a different USB stick or using an older version of USB Loader GX but I will be testing that out later next week when I have more time. I was just wondering if anyone else had any other similar problems when trying to install a Wii game?

Final question, does any kind of written or video user guide exist for all the different settings and features in USB Loader GX? I know a lot of them probably doesn't apply for the casual user but I'm still curious none the less. Like I just recently accidentally stumbled upon what the Wiinnertag setting does. lol. I had no idea before. Like maybe a video going through each option one by one and explaining what it does, how to use it and showing it in action.

Not all versions are downloaded from the internal update menu (in case there are bugs or incompatible version).
I will push 1232 (when DM 2.12 is released) into the internal update.
currently, the latest internal version is 1226.

The install freeze is often fixed by using a different USB device.
I don't know why this issue happen, sorry.

I started to write a guide to detail all the settings, but it's too much work.
It can be found on the official wiki:
http://code.google.com/p/usbloader-gui/wiki/Introduction?tm=6

and the "working wiki" (to prevent creating new revision on the official svn for small wiki updates), you can see the "setting" part is a little more completed, but abandoned. I don't have time to work on it.
http://code.google.com/p/usbguiwikicolab/wiki/Introduction?tm=6
I tried to reconstruct the top menu, where the user could click on each button and go to the explanation
http://code.google.com/p/usbguiwikicolab/wiki/Interface#Presentation
But again, too much expectation and not enough time.

Ahh. So the update button will only work when you tell it to work. Good to know.

I kinda figured the freezing problem was probably the USB stick. Like I said, I'm going to try a few different things next week.

I'll look through those links to the settings guide later today and see what I can learn. I totally understand not having enough time. Just the fact that you have the time to promptly respond to each person's questions, listen to their ideas and add them to USB Loader GX as quickly as you do is amazing. Thank you.

Can someone help me? It's just a minor problem with the saving... It won't ever let me save my game, as it keeps saying there's no Memory Card inserted. How can I fix that? Probably just fiddling with settings, no?

I don't know what you are talking about.
Which game? Wii, gamecube?
which error? a loader error, or a game error?

probably gamecube error while in a game?
Enable Memory card emulation in USBLoaderGX settings, depending on the loader you are using.

Devo and nintendont : Memory Card Emulation
DIOS MIOS and DIOS MIOS Lite : NMM

Sorry! Lacked a few details... Yeah, Paper Mario Thousand Year Door. Error is just that there's no memory card inserted and, yes, it's an in game error.

Okay! I'll try that! Thanks! :)

Last question... How do I exit a game without having to switch my Wii off all the time, or isn't there any way?

it depend the gamecube loader you are using.
I suppose you come from nintendont thread, so you are using nintendont loader.

It's on the nintendont thread's first post :
Reset : R+Z+Start
Exit : R+Z+B+Down

Thank you kindly! :) That should be the last of my questions now. Thanks for all the help, Cyan. I appreciate it :)

I'm using the HDD to nintendont, and I put Loader GX too, so i don't have any problem now, thanks!

Dumped my NAND to EmuNAND and Installed WAD to EmuNand when I try to launch the title it restarts USBLoaderGX.

Is there a work-around for this feature yet? (Other than installing all the WADS to the real NAND and then dumping it)
