That is the problem, there is no upper menu and no I don't use a custom theme
I'm not sure if this is your case but on my old TV those buttons didn't show but they were still there, just barely off the screen (the TV was old and left out part of the image that was near the edges) Maybe you could try just kinda blindly pointing and clicking near or barely past the top of the screen and see if you can hit that button. Also, if you don't have the latest version (r1211) you might try updating. I know there were some beta versions there for a while that left out some buttons in some modes.

EDIT : ninja'd

You can edit the config manually, but it's not the best choice (not user friendly).

If you don't see the top menu and you are not using any custom theme, then maybe your TV has a very big overscan area (picture rendered out of the screen).
The loader has an otion to shrink the displayed picture to fix this overscan problem encountered on some TV.

Go to Settings > Gui > Overscan Y : set a negative value (-20 maybe?)

OMG, I booted up my wii today and magically the top menu had appeared again. So problem solved. I didn't do anything :D

Hey guys! So apparently there is code in the newest revision of Devolution that allows GC games to run in a Slow Mode to fix timing issues for games that run too quickly (Extreme G3 being an example). Will there be an updated version of USB Loader GX that allows the user to specify this Slow Mode when running a GC game? Thanks! :)

1212 has no code changed!
no need to compile it...
(unless you compiled two times and replaced a file manually in the sources? if you copied a file before compiling, then you did good)
But, thanks for wanting to provide uncompiled versions to other users.

I'll upload 1213 soon (just waiting a word from my tester. I wish I could test it myself)

Hello

I don't know if i am in the right section but:

i can't manage to make my games on hdd work on vWii.

Only 10 % of them work. I tried both cIOS d2x 52 vwii and 53 alt vwii.

Other games result with the "an error has occured press eject and bla-bla-bla".

Is someone have a clue ?

I didn't touch the settings for DM.
I only added detection for release date up to 2.9, you could still use r1211 with DM2.9 and it would work the same way (it will only be detected as 2.8+)
maybe it's a problem introduced in DM(L) 2.9

You could try:
1. use r1213 with DM2.8 (test another DM version)
2. use r1211 with DM2.9 (test another GX version)
3. the widescreen settings with another loader (test another loader)

I think it's DM related, thanks you for the support!

After a week of many tries, i discovered that my problems were due to some Wii IOS kept on the NAND.

After erasing all of them, now all games work again.

Question: I'm an older version, about 6 months old. I just booted up my Wii, I know my brother fucked something af ew months ago. My emulators work fine (SNES, NES, etc), if I play them when first booting Wii. USBLoader GX comes up when first booting Wii (but won't play the game), THC works fine it seems. Yet for some reason I can't get any of my games to work, I know my brother fucked something up when he tried to play Skylanders a few months back but I don't know what. Since I have THC already and I'm already hacked, does anyone know what I would have to do at this point, or what would be a safe bet to get it working again to play my games via GX?

no word yet, sorry.

I'm just very slow to update and work on it. I don't work on it every week.
I wanted to fix the GameCube "copy to SD" and "Delete Game" with multi-Disc games before making a v3.1 release, but I haven't stated working on it yet.

@pyrofyr:
You probably need to reinstall the custom IOS to the latest version.
you can use modmii to resoftmod it, or just use the cIOS d2x installer.

You need:
d2x with base IOS56 installed in slot 249
d2x with base IOS57 installed in slot 250
