So whenever I try to change the settings for USB Loader GX my VWii (Wii U), for some reason USB Loader GX doesn't save any of my changes. It works fine while the app is open, everything can be switched around and then it'll work perfectly fine, but if I close the app and open it again, it'll revert all my changes. Some helpful context would be that it keeps defaulting the path to USB8, which from what I've seen in some other threads means that it's not initializing correctly (I think), but I couldn't find anything on what happens if it *will* accept the changes to the settings, but also not save them when the app is closed.

Gx saves settings by writing to sd/usb (wherever the app is saved). Check if your sd card has a write lock switch an ensure it's disabled
That wasn't the issue, my Wii U actually told me immediately upon boot that it was locked when I flipped the write lock switch (it's unmarked so I tried the other way just to be sure) by warning me that it could not write to the card.

... I might as well clarify since my prior message may have been a bit confusing. I tried flipping the lock switch as per your suggestion, as it's unmarked so I have no clue which direction is which, but when I did so the Wii U immediately told me upon booting that it could no longer write to the SD card, which means the SD card definitely wasn't locked because I would have immediately noticed if that had been the case before. Thus, the problem must lie elsewhere, and... I genuinely have no clue what to do.

Hello,

Reformat your SD card to FAT32 and download the latest version of GX again. Then try again.
