Don't know if i'm being silly or not, but where do i get rev 1080?
Rev1079 is the official v2.1 release; it was mis-labelled in the meta.xml as rev1080. A Rev1080 has been 'released' 2 days later since then, but is not an officially tagged release and has only been updated on the code SVN. You can always access the latest source code revisions on the Google Code Page. You can either self-compile inter-official release versions yourself or see if a BETA has been made available in the Official BETA Issue Thread.

EDIT: That clears things up? *Rev1079 is USB Loader GX v2.1 All revisions 1080 and higher are only BETA versions until the next official release is announced.

Just note that rev17 works only for WBFS partition, not FAT32 or NTFS.

It looks like it can't create the savefile so it can't find it ...
do you want my saves to try if the game see it? (It's from Unlimited Adventure NTSC-U).

Did you already play it before ? (I think not, as you don't have a save data).
Maybe it's a modified iso (there's a US to PAL version, as PAL wasn't included in the original video signal), but It would not launch at all.
Got it working and other games thanks.
I got r17 downloaded. For One Piece I had to use 223 (38-37) though.
Basically I updated to:
Hermes- 222[38]-v4 , 223[37-38]-v4 , 224[57]-v5.1, 202[60]-v5.1
Waninkoko- 247[37]-v20b, 248[56]-v20b, 249[38]-v17, 250[57]-v20b

I now have every game that I own working without a problem, I found I have to set VIDTV Patch ON for a few of them but that's it really, and in the case of One Piece set it to 223. Only game I haven't tested yet is Naruto, but my little brother said it was working, so it should be.

Do you have "We Dare"?
And if so, is it working?

I do not, but I will download it and get back to you.

Naruto Clash of Ninja 2 working fine for me on 248[56]-v20b, not working fine on 249.
Downloaded We Dare but won't be home until Monday, so I'll get back to you then when I get a chance to move it to the Wii and test it.

I think We Dare is only working on Sneek in discEx format, or using Mighty loader.
We Dare also works with usb loaders that only support WBFS partitions

Sorry if this sounds dense, but I went to the Google Code page and I couldn't find r1080. I've navigated through the page like so:

svn > tags > USBLoader_GX_v2_1 > data > app_booter.dol shows r1014

Not sure if this is the right place or not. I've just hacked my 4.3U Wii using the Modify Any Wii 4.3 & Below guide and I'd like to install the latest USB Loader GX revision. Will I need to install additional cIOS or will the ones in the guide be sufficient enough? I've done the whole process before, but have been away from the scene for a while. Would appreciate anyone who can point me in the right direction. Thanks.

I updated to r1079 and now even though I'm using the cIOS249 version, it loads into 222 (I can see it flash that while it's loading, and the credits screen). Any ideas why that would be? All the settings seem correct.

Well you could simply download the usbloadergx all in one package and put it under 'apps' on your SD card, then start it from homebrew channel.

If you have an usb loader channel (which is probably if you used modmii) then that one will pick up the usb loader gx app if no other usb loaders are installed on your sd card

People keep on insisting on v1080 despite the fact it is a BETA version. What you all probably want is the latest official stable release which is currently USB Loader GX v2.1 which you can get at the download page >here

You say that "All the settings seem correct" but to be sure I'll ask if you have checked that IOS249 is indeed set as the default cIOS in the Global Loader Settings page. You may also want to check that you do have a valid cIOS installed as 249 and not something odd like a stub.

EDIT: I don't know if this might be a possible cause but v2.1 does not support cIOSX rev21d2xv3 yet. So if you are using cIOSX rev21d2xv3 use the r1080 Beta or just stick with stock cIOSx rev21 or cIOSX rev21d2xv2. Someone with more knowledge in this area feel free to chime in...

Hi guys:

I could use some help/advice - I set up an hdd as fat32 using wii backup manager and transfer games - they show up in GX but dont work. They do work in Config Loader.

Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong and how I can get this working in GX Loader?

Help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance....

Delete your config file(s) and try again.

Yes, that is what was in the settings, but I think I am using the d2xv3 variety of rev21. So that must be it. I'll try grabbing the 1080 version. I was using the official 2.1 stable release package. I wonder if that also isn't why one of my games (Red Steel 2) all of a sudden decided to be a different four digit game code. It was RDSX before and now it's RDSE (or something like that, not at my Wii at the moment).

Rev 1080 loads in cIOS249 just great. Faster startup and good performance so far. Thanks!

Thanks.

can anyone tell me how to get the language files working? everytime I try to switch it to japanese most text boxes are blank.

I think asian languages need a full utf-8 font.ttf
you can find a full font file (10MB) on the savegame Manager GX project page :
http://code.google.com/p/savegame-manager-gx/downloads/list

You can use a theme to load the font.ttf

I think there's a way to load font.ttf as the defaut font without a theme (I forgot how).

thanks cyan. but i have a question, where does this font file go? I tried to throw a japanese font in the config/theme and config/themes folder but it did nothing. to be honest, most of the themes look like doo-doo and i prefer the original theme of USB Loader GX. I have searched all over and no one has explained how to do this on the most recent release.

download the Default.them file.

• Rename the file to default-jp.them (or whatever you want).

• rename line 17 from :
"Image-Folder: Example\n"
to
"Image-Folder: default-jp\n"

• Save the file and put it into the "theme folder" defined in your "user defined paths" menu in the loader.

• In the theme folder, add a new folder named default-jp (this is the folder name you defined in the .them file)

• put your font.ttf in the default-jp folder

• Launch USBLoaderGX, go to Theme browser and load "default-jp"

The "default-jp" theme will load with all default values, and all the contents in the designated folder will replace the default values/images/sounds defined in the .them file.
To replace an element (image or sound) you just need to put a file with the exact filename. it will be loaded instead of the default GX theme.
To modify the element position you need to edit the .them file.
