I don't got my Wii for now, so any breaking changes with v2?

USB Loader GX v2.0:

Lot's of changes have happened since v1.0. It would be too much to write them all down here.
The full changelog can be found on the website:
http://code.google.com/p/usbloader-gui/source/list

Here is a summary:
*FAT/NTFS/EXT2/3/4 game launching support
*Compatibility for all cIOS version of Waninkoko and Hermes
*Return to loader from a running game
*Booting into NTFS/EXT and saving images/configs on them
*No need for a FAT32 partition anymore with new forwarder and a NTFS partition
*Game titles and informations through the WiiTDB (thanks goes to lustar for his great page http://wiitdb.com)
*New search bar for searching through games
*Alternative dol support
*Theme downloader
*Rebuild parental control
*Homebrew launching of almost all homebrews
*Lot's of new IOS slot supports (from 200-255)
*Game banner sounds
*lots of bugfixes

Be aware that, while this version really rocks - it will reset all your configurations. You might want to keep a local copy of your settings before upgrading it. This is necessary for all the great changes that have been put in to v2.0.

Maybe someone can help me out on this.

So I got the ultimate package zip file and decided I want to install the channel version of USB Loader GX. I do so with WAD Manager 1.5 as directed in the readMii file. Once I was done, I clicked on the channel and pressed Start. Unfortunately, instead of loading the program, it goes back to the channels screen.

Now I noticed in the zip file there is a "ChannelDOL' folder with a "channel2.0.dol file". Do I need to rename that "boot.dol" and put that in my "apps" folder to get it to work? I thought the point of the channel wad was that it was the complete application?

Many thanks to those who can help me on this conundrum.

The old GXGamesettings.cfg file is no more supported and I have hundreds of games with different settings.
Is there any tool to convert that file without loosing all settings?

Hi, the channel dol and forwarder dol was put in there for users who don't like our channel and want to create their own channel. For normal users it's not usefull.

Amazing work

Yeah, I figured as much but didn't want to assume.

Thanks for the quick response.

There isn't now and probably won't be. What kind of settings are you trying to bring forward? You can use the game load defaults and get rid of most if not all anyway.

- Game IOS
- Error 002 fix
- Alternative dol

And I get black screen with many many games now, but the same games work great with r938.
Here is my system:
- 500GB wbfs partition
- ciosx rev21: 249[56], 250[57]
- hermes v4: 222[38 merged with 37], 223[60]
- hermes v5.1: 224[57]
- gx default settings

Also playing with settings for non working games doesn't solve the problem.

Thanks but "return to" feature is turned off by default, so that's not relevant in my case

EDIT:
Oh, I used the installer for a fresh new install on a different sd card (the old one has gx r938).
Also installed the new forwarder.
Same problem with 2 different hd.

I have almost the identical setup and only have one problem game so far. I have the default using ciosx rev21 base 56 (your slot 249). I also set up the video mode to force ntsc and the language to english (vs system/console default). What games are you having issues with?

Okay, since the channel wad didn't work for me, I went the forwarder route. Installed the wad, clicked on the channel, clicked on Start....and back to the main channel page.

Does having the newest IOS249 help? I'm using Rev 17, if that means anything.

Yahoo!!!
Now everything seems to work.
I really don't know why, just cleaned up the sd card and relaunched the installer.
Wonderful!!!!

Exactly same problem here, using cIOS v21 - the new channel AND forwarder just kick me straight back to the main channel page. USB Loader GX 2.0 itself works fine if I launch it from HBC.

USB Loader GX works fine in HBC. Haven't had a problem loading the five or so games I've tried out thus far.

I know, that's what I'm saying. It works fine when launched via HBC, but the forwarder and channel both reboot the Wii.

I tried renaming the usbloader_gx folder to usbloadergx, same problem.

It seems to me like the channel and the forwarder aren't pointing to the correct folder
