Just noticed GX crashes/code dumps after trying to update GX itself with the DarkWii v3 theme installed.

SM 4.2U
GX r938

Im using latest version of GX.
Ciosx 20 base 56, everything working perfectly.
Of course updating crashes, but it isnt that hard to download it manually from the site right? O.o

Use 937, it's a fix of 936 which had a bug (that's why it's not available, it's not working).
Or else use 935.

936/37 only change the way USBGecko is working and prevent long blackscreen on GX launch.

ok trying to get csi deadly intent to work with gx tryed everything cios 249v17,19,20b and hermes 222 v4 and v5 but this game keeps reseting after you choose level 1 anyone got this to work via gx?

Same here but on 4.1U

I turned beta updates off and it doesn't crash any more when updating.

You are right.

I guess we'll just have to check the google code page every now and then.

what if you already have hermes v5 and tantrics 202 installed? will usb 2.0 support still work in loaders, emulation etc?

I can't answer that because I only use my HDD for Wii games in wbfs format! All my emulators/ other programs are using the SD card!

If I remember correctly this is one of the few games that can't be played with USB loaders.

Russian language.

What's wrong? :\ It's also crashes with code dump when russian language is enabled.
Does it run fine in English?
If so, you could try creating your own translation into Russian, and see if that works. It could well be the translation file is for an older revision.

I installed GX on my friend's Wii but I'm getting an error stating along the lines of:

cIOS 222 .......-2

Then freeze

I know it's not that helpful, but that's all I can remember.

EDIT: He also seemed to have a theme installed, at least for the Homebrew Channerl. It was just a black and blue version of the menu.

EDIT 2: He also had two Homebrew Channels for some reason.

If he has 2 Homebrew channel, maybe he doesn't understand what he is doing. (he should have reinstalled older HBC 1.0.6 after installing 1.0.7 (the black one), to have DVDX back).
It will not change anything regarding the loader.

About the loader :
maybe you are using a FAT32 or NTFS partition where you store your games, instead of WBFS partition ?

If it's the case, FAT32/NTFS needs Hermes cIOS v4 (it will install IOS222, 223, etc. you choose which one).
You can also use cIOSx rev19 or 20, or Hermes v5, but with USBloaderGX revision range 920-930.
(Maybe it's working with newer GX revision too, but I didn't try)

After installing Hermes into slot 222, run GX and go to preference, launch game, and set IOS to 222, quit and restart the loader.
Then you can select the correct partition.

Yes, it's fine in english. I'll try but it seems like unicode support problem.

It's strange that noone reported it before.
Maybe you can try older russian.lang files (you can see all older revision and download them on google code)
http://code.google.com/p/usbloader-gui/sou...vn938&r=938
you can change the revision number at the top right, and download the corresponding version with right-click "save as..." on the link "view raw file" at the bottom.
(verify your file in UTF-8 without BOM)

If it's the file, you can also ask in the USB loader GX Localization topic, there might be a russian user working on the file.

Or you can try a different GX revision, maybe it's a compilation problem.
