Hacking USB Loader GX

929 keeps crashing.
going back to 874 (is this the last stable version working with all new cios?)

921 is regarded as the stable version (I'm still on 919).
You'll need to use hermes v4 if you want to use NTFS/FAT, hermes v5 & ciosx wasn't supported at the time.

I'm using CiosXr19 (Installed as 38) and NTFS works fine.

i had to format my HD, and now that im ready to go again, i get stuck with the select parition type.. when i choose fat, it code dumps (r929).. all it created was the global config file so far, so how should i edit that file to get it to just laod it into the fat partition so i dont have to choose it and cause it to dump?

(config loader had no issue finding my partition and loads it without issue)

folks, is there any GX Loader Channel that loads the dol from USB/FAT32 and not from the SD ?

you must have "Beta Updates" enabled in the option for it to download every possible update, if not it will only get the most stablest rev available

I've been playing an MMO so I held off a while, however I remember MH Tri not working before playing.

I just followed the advice in the few threads I found, but they're a bit old.

Is there anything special to do to get it working with USBLoader GX, or should I just update to newest beta and it should work? I searched this thread and the only time it was asked went unanswered.

I downloaded the latest .dol from the website, it says its 929, put it on the card and when i run it and go to credits it tells me im running 874!!! so i change the options to include beta updates and press update and it says none new available, so it still says 874....very strange...

when you select to allow beta updates, dont forget to click on save...

it look like your using a Channel and not a forwarder, run HBC then GX, it should be the latest one if you put the dol there manually as follows ":/apps/usbloader_gx/boot.dol", if you want to run GX straight from the SM install a Forwarder and not the Channel

I want to install a game with as a 1:1 ratio, all game/update partitions. The version I was on wouldn't let me so I got the latest r929.dol. Now when I go to install a game it will freeze and have a blank background on me. The Wii-mote cursor still works but everything else freezes.

Running cIOS38 rev14.

It this happening for others?

You can't install an unscrubbed copy with any loader.

Anyway, I just want the update partitions aswell.
