So are there any other suggestions for my problem of the covers not downloading and coming up with a "files not found on the server!" message?

I had already posted a USB fat guide

The link is also to the help page of usbloadergx.koureio.net (and I can see that you all read the help page... NOT!!!)

fixed a minor mistake that made the drive not usable with HBC
this guide works with forwarder and HBC but not with mplayer ce so far (maybe I should put the fat32 first, but the last time I did that USBLOADER GX didn't recognize my WFBS partition)

latest revs are not out because I have university exams and a formated desktop with no devkitpro. And starstremr... well I don't know

Also if you bother to read the changelog there is almost nothing new with the latest revs and 581 is practical 578. Anyway I'm compiling now the latest one with an Atom laptop.

PS: Devs, I think that the latest NeoGamma supports to load the alt dol directly from the disk.

any body have the spindown issue?i have a maxtor internal that i converted for external 40 gigs.

Im having trouble. I update, hit update all, it downloads, restarts but when i boot off the wii menu using the channel it loads rev 16. And when I load the loader through HBC i get the latest version

FIXED: I was using the Channel not the forwader, all is good now

Update makes no changes to the channel. Your best option is to use the forwarder.

ocarina doesnt seem to want to work.. it keeps saying no codes found even when the right location is in the path area.. and sometimes itll just freeze up loading when attempting to load ocarina codes up..

Same but i get Code dumps when I load a game with Ocarina turned on, i think its because i dont have a code file for it

I still didnt quite understand if there's a way to avoid the loader's black screen on second wii reboot(without having to switnch the wii off everytime after i do boot a game)
Here Wii 4.0E waninoko with trucha and cios rev12

I had an older maxtor 100gb internal drive that i put inside an external case.
Could never get it to work without freezing.I tried all the maxtor/seagate software
to turn off the spindown but none of the seagate or maxtor programs would
even see the drive.Tried hdparm it would let me change the settings to turn
spindown off but as soon as you powered the drive down the settings would be lost again.

I gave up on it.

R581 work great for me. I have old forwarder 6.06.2009 and apps/usbloader_gx/boot.dol on SD card.
My HD Trekstor maxi classic 250GB work fein.
With rev224-270 don't work.

The issue is typically with the external case rather than the internal drive in most instances however in terms of recognition of the drive by the wii.

I went from 578 to 581 and now my games that use cIOS 223 won't work.

Anyone have a 578 dol I can switch back to?

EDIT: Tried removing config files and still no go. Went back to 576 and it works fine again.
