That will do it, has to be in same dir as your titles.txt. I just want to let you know that you will get a green scren right after the GX screen saver when you run it using latest forwarder. One more thing turn on xml as well in gen settigs or game settings.

The same thing happened to me... Updated the DOL, attempted to download a cover from the new address, and got a code dump. When I went back into the Loader, the cover DID download, but the code dump needs to be fixed! =)

I submitted an Issue # about this.

I've still been having issues with Carnival Games Mini Golf. I have tried combination of 002 fix and anti as well as vid patch modes to no avail. It worked back on like revision 2xx but not since. When I launch it, I just get dropped back to the Wii menu. NTSC game on NTSC system 3.3U running rev12. Even tried reloading the game to the drive since it was first in the list.


Any ideas from anybody? Or just wait for rev14 and see what if anything improves...

You can download a free boot program like GParted that will format your drive to FAT32. You just have to restart your computer with the CD in your drive and your external drive attached and it should run. (Assuming your BIOS is set to run discs as the first boot item)

Does anyone know if there is a little tutorial written to show how to set it up to work on USB? I looked on the first page and couldnt find it. I have no idea how to do it.
I have two partitions. 1st is my WBFS with all the games. Then my 2nd partiton is fat32. On fat32 there are 3 folders: Images/disc and usbloader_gx.

How do I run from there? Is there a forwarder I need to install?.. thats the only way I can think it would be able to access it.
 
I just got a code dump on Rev 567 whilst downloading a some missing 3d covers. It seemed to be going smoothly, but on the last one it dumped. I was downloading eight all together.

If that helps.

edit: aha. When I reloaded it, all the covers were fully downloaded, though.

Thanks, I took a look at the compatibility list you mentioned, for the NTSC MP 3, it says I need to upgrade to rev12. I'm on rev10, so that why.

on that download page, there was a file for txtcheats, I placed that on my sd, and now I don't understand how to add those cheats to my game. I click that blue controller on the right side, and it brings all of it up for whatever game it is, but are those cheats enabled or do I have to turn something on?

One last question, will the usb loader gx team be adding balance board icon, wiimotion plus icon, wii zapper icon to the xml file? it would be great to know which games use the balance board and wii motion plus, is that in the plans for the future?
 
all those are already in the loader. just look at all the images in the source code. i think all that is missing is a zapper and a keyboard. when the xml actually shows that a game needs the motion plus, it will show up on that screen.

to make cheats work, do this.
put the cheat file (txt) on your SD card
point the loader to the location of said file in the settings
go to the per-game settings and click on the picture of an ocarina ( that blue thing)
select the cheats that you want and tell it to create a file. if it worked right, then it just put a gct file on your SD card in the cheat_path.
turn on ocarina for the game you want to cheat at
save the game settings
boot the game

if you get black screened then your gct file is bad. it could be a case of you using bad codes, codes from the wrong region, incompatible codes, etc.

some codes require you to edit them. if this is the case, you will need to use another app to do so. you can't use any letters other than abcdef.
 
One thing I omitted to mention is that when I first tried to configure the drive, the loader wouldn't detect the partitions properly, giving absurd space sizes and failing to format the correct partition to WBFS (I formatted it using WBFS manager and it works fine). Is there an issue with having more than two partitions on the drive? I had a 1GB FAT32 one for pictures, settings and such, one of 131GB for my files, NTFS, and another NTFS partition of 100GB to be formatted to WBFS. Was using the channel, though I don't anymore.

well a game like wii fit, I check the xml file, and it only shows the remote and says 1 on the remote, so does that mean the xml just isn't finished? I can't find any game at all that shows the balance board, so does that just mean its not quite finished? I saw the guitar for guitar hero/rock band, I see nunchuck on some games, but some games that require wiiboard or wiimotion plus, they don't show up on any of them. does wii fit show up with a balance board icon for you then? am I downloading the right xml file?

I use the HDD because it's convenient, but I think the SD card is more stable. Usually I have to start it twice because it simply restarts the Wii on the first try, for some strange reason. But it's a minor annoyance, and I prefer keeping all of my homebrew stuff on the hard drive so I can keep my SD card exclusively for my DSi.

if there is a more updated xml file, can someone post it? the one I downloaded was updated through june 17th, and I don't see anything for a lot of the newer games, and no balance board icon or wii motion plus icon, so maybe I don't have it up to date enough?
 
I also get the "Wii restarts on loading" bug. I think it has to do with what else you did before going into the loader - if what you did causes the hard drive to spin down, so the forwarder doesn't get the data it needs and resets the console. Probably would happen with any loader/forwarder if it didn't attempt to read the data multiple times. SD cards obviously don't have this problem (nor would USB Flash drives).

I find it takes slightly longer to load up 100+ covers using everything off of the HDD rather than the SD, but I like to be able to run the loader without needing that particular SD card in the Wii (I have three different cards I use on the Wii) and it saves space on those SD cards.
 
maybe pune has to make bigger the letters that say it's not finished.
