Done sucka! use "maxcharacters = penislength" in theme.txt where penislength is the number of characters that show up BEFORE "..." for long names. So of you put "maxcharacters = 5", it checks to see if the title is less than 8. If this is true, the title is used. If the title is over 8, the first 5 characters and then "..." is put. So in your themes, use a number 3 smaller than the number of capital "W" it takes to fill the gamelist.

i dont understand what you mean so what would the be line i would put in the theme.txt ?

can you give me an example please

also what version was this implemented in ?

and do the quotes have to me used?

The forwarder to this looks great! I hope someone makes a matching theme since it kinda has a slight difference to the cliche Wii look that the default theme has. A matching HBC icon would be nice too.

Another thought (and it has been probably mentioned already) is to maybe add a check mark option in the individual game settings that allows a person to mark a game as NOT WORKING or NEEDS A DISC TO PLAY. That way, those games that we mark can maybe show maybe some sort of icon to the right or left of the title or even something that appears over the box art like the signs that were made in thread. Or perhaps the games title can be highlighted with a color?

2 CENTS!

1. why must the channel and the loader ahve the same theme. see you this on every nintendo app and game?
2. yes i will create a theme that looks like the channel
3. ähm sorry but its the "same" icon style. the hbc is only in the low lines style... take a look:

Can you release the forwarder dol and/or source code?
Here you go:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=PGA04UHG
Might not be the best solution since i made it in like 20mins from an old forwarder source i did a long time ago.
If you got a forwarder that loads faster you are welcome to send us the source

.
checked the source and saw it is based on loadmii

I also noticed that you took the code from dol.c about the load_dol_image but didn't see anything like the load_elf_image code. Is your forwarder safe to use with elf files? (which of course here we would have to rename them to boot.dol as you have suggested before)

About the config thing, what I suggested was that if someone wanted to move them to the directory with the dol, he could do it (the dafault path would be the one we already use) . Now if one is stupid enough to put it there on his own and use a forwarder/channel, that he knows it doesn't support non-hardcoded paths, then what can I say. Only to make the second option hardcoded and don't use "point of entry shit". But again I don't give a shit if it is with the dol file

I'll also delete all the other crappy things at my config folder and I'm ok

Can the dol be loaded directly with preloader?
I've tried it a couple of times, but it doesn't seem work.
All I get is that it loads backgroud and seems to stop.

Hi Can anyone please help?
I use the ultimate usb loader and want to move to USB Loader GX. Do I do the following to install it:

1. remove the old Ultimate loader and the image folders from SD card
2. copy usbloader_gx to the apps DIR on SD card.
3. run USB Loader GX-ULNR.wad
4. then run USB Loader GX-UNEO_Forwarder.wad

Many thanks, the application you have developed looks cool.

Regards
Sandip

you don't NEED to install any wad. you can run it straight as a dol. if you want to access it from the sys menu, you only need to install 1 wad. use the forwarder to point to your sd card or the other wad to install the whole app to your wii memory. the choice is yours.

Thanks will put the bits into apps DIR and install the channel forwarder.

Thanks. I've compiled and tested the dol in preloader autoboot. But as I expected, it won't work that way. Somehow preloader can't handle most dol files very well.
So is there a chance you can make this forwarder compatible with preloader? I know I could just install the loader's dol itself as autoboot, but from an update perspective, I really like the forwarder solution better.

Suggestions for future updates:

1) Implement raptor's background music switch icon into main theme and make it skinnable and movable (for skin use only). Thanks raptor!

2) Along the same lines: Have a setting where the user can choose which background music they want to listen to

3) Enable user to go back to Wii Menu (or Loader) just by a long press of the HOME button (Settings page would allow for default choice).

Awesome loader! Love how you can switch skins now and the results are instantaneous! Thank you!
