Is far as Question #3 goes' yes and no. All of these loaders are based off of the one by Waninkoko. So they all have roughly the same HDD and game compatibility. Additional features such as ocarina and video patching will be almost identical behind the scenes. Also, last time I looked at his source, Beardface had a huge chunk of our code sitting there. But that's the whole purpose of open source development. People get to use our code, just like we have taken chunks from other applications to make this. The major differences between his and ours are 1- the libraries used to write them and 2- we had a head start on him so ours is more refined.
From what I recall, his was mostly C and GRRLIB. This loader is C for the functional parts and C++ for the user interface and written with LibWiiGui. Both libraries have their advantages and disadvantages. I think that once he irons out the couple of big wrinkles, he will have a kickass program. And then we can come behind him and take what we want to from his code.
