Hacking USB Loader GX

OK now that i figured it out i am having fun with the themes

here is my first

For those of you who want a forwarder, i uploaded it in here http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VEIS8D6J

It is pointed at sd:\apps\usbloader, so simply put your boot.dol in the usbloader folder, and then install the forwarder .wad on your wii.

The problem is when I use this forwarder, the GUI Loader menu don't show... I ear the music, I've start a game accidentally, so the loader run but I have a black screen.

If I start the GUI Loader by the Homebrew channel, the loading is okay without problem... but with forwarder, the loader run but with a black screen.

And i've ALWAYS use forwarder... so i don't want to start the gui by the HBC...

Solution???


Well, which forwarder do you use? Cause it could be that the forwarder you have is pointed at another direction or it could be that you spelled boot.dol wrong or even the foldername, then you will appear with a black screen, cause i tryed it once my self.

Why don't you make your life easy by using ftpii and WBFS Manager 2.5 look up both on google or wiibrew.org. ftpii requires that you have wireless connection and a ftp client on your computer (i find FireFTP for Firefox very intuitive and easy to work with); WBFS Manager 2.5 is a gui based tool that allows you to transfer backup iso files to a HDD. you can batch your game disc backups to your pc and use WBFS Manager to transfer the iso's to your HDD. That will save you a lot of trips up and down the stairs. spend the time to make ftpii and WBFS manager work, it will be worth it!

because that won't work. FTPii doesn't recognize WBFS partitions. And even if it did, it wouldn't present the type of interface that a WBFS manager requires.

I have a Problem. I Use the HD-Forwarder and the latest USBloaderGui. My config looks :

wtheme_path = SD:/apps/usbloader/theme/

when I start the Loader, I have this nice theme on my WideScreen LCD

. But I have no Covers on my Screen, I have all my Covers and Disc Images in the right place. When I use the default LoaderGUi, without t he Theme and the config.txt, I have all my Covers. Is something wrog with my config.txt, is there anything missing ?

No I doesnt delete anything, and I doesnt have a "wimages" folder on my SD-Card. I only followed this Guide, from fozzieb´s Mod of adam

ok here is a mod of adam_the_1st' gui mod as a theme,

i put it in my sd:/apps/usbloader/ folder

config txt

theme_path = SD:/apps/usbloader/theme/

or for 16:9

wtheme_path = SD:/apps/usbloader/theme/

you can move the buttons by looking at the theme.txt

have a play.

if you using the latest rev so you can use show_id but now the the config.txt and the title.txt must be in SD:/config/
