I've been trying different ISOs; releases from several different groups. Though it's down to perception, it seems like some backups launch successfully more often than others.dbzfanatic said:Well it seems to work ok for me for the most part. Perhaps it's the ISO you're using. Are you ripping from a disc or did you get it online? A bit more detail would help.

Try this when it starts go to settings (the gears on the left) change the load cios to 222 and exit restart and that should have fixed your freeze problemTudorBlue said:petspeed said:Did you choose Default and run through that until the Wii restarts? Im still having trouble. Each time I get to game select menu, if I press the "A" Button everything freezes and I have to keep my finger pressed on the power button. However if when I get to the get to the game select menu and press "B", I just end up back at the wii menu.
petspeed said:Do you mean the game select menu in the game itself when started with Default, or the game select menu in USB Loader GX?
If you mean in the game itself then I think it has already created a savegame and you should be able to start the games selecting Metroid 1, 2 or 3 in the USB Loader GX menu.
If you want to play it so bad from USB with 100% use you either need to use Sneek + Di or Dual layer disc or use the alt dolsTudorBlue said:petspeed said:Do you mean the game select menu in the game itself when started with Default, or the game select menu in USB Loader GX?

No, I mean in the GX loader. It asks me which .dol I want to use. Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2, Metroid Prime 3 OR default. If press the "A" button on any of the dol choices, the screen flashes green then goes blank, if I press the "B" button the game boots and I can select any of the metroid prime games, then select my difficulty. Once I press start, the wii boots to the wii system menu. Might seem like a daft question but do I need specific dol files for this game?? Thanks

The thing you describe is happening when you press B is what is expected. Then it has created a savegame on your Wii. To be sure you can go to your savegames and check. Have you tried any of the 3 games after that? If it still doesn't work make sure you use either Hermes cIOS v4 or Waninkokos cIOSr19.
dbzfanatic said:Hermes is installed as IOS222 and that is an option. IOS249 in waninkokos and r17 is recommended for compatibility reasons but 19 does have features that 17 doesnt, but even in the description it says some features were broken. As pet suggested try loading the game again (with the a button or selecting in game) and see if that works. Savedata is essential for some games to even attempt to start so once you have that you should be fine.
