@prisoner
you give throuth the settings the address of your language file (no special place)

the files with the settings are always under config folder (just their names changed)

@genius
it's not something they said they will add. Made a later version has it or maybe not.

@everyone
r357 is out and has a little face-lift
tongue.gif
also since my last post more theme options were added at wiki
i'll upload it soon

Well, i actually dont know. If your thinking about loading games from it, i dont think in near future as the sd cards still isnt that big and i dont think its possible to format a sd card to WBFS at the moment either.

Download Version 1.0 (with icon.png and meta.xml)
HBC pack:USB Loader GX V 1.0 (r316).rar
WAD pack:Channel WAD (r326) and Forwarder WAD

and/or the latest revision (alpha/beta/whatever)
r357.dol

OR
check the site http://tinyurl.com/USBLoaderGX
where everything plus elfs go
tongue.gif
(NEWS page informs about the important stuff)
(plz read first post or help page at site before asking)

*Language file selection was added
*Changed CONFIGFILENAMES to GXGlobal.cfg, GXGameSettings.cfg and GXtheme.cfg !!!

Changelog -> http://code.google.com/p/usbloader-gui/source/list

People who cant load the loader or having some troubles
they should try to use .ELF
since .ELF is a lot more accurate in processing code

Well - SDHC Cards go up to 32 GB and you can have many not so big games on them (like AC or WiiMusic) .. and yes it's possible to get them WBFS Formated and you can even have two partitions - one for HBC and WII SD Channel and one partition as WBFS .. works like a charm.

I created the partitions with Arconis Disk Director
I put Games on the second (non fat and so no drive letter assigned from windows parttition ) with the WBFS GUI 1.3 which supports direct partition access without drive letter ( http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=152666 )
and I tested it with Wanikokos 1.4 Loader (because 1.5 had a bug in the sd reading part) ( http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=154216 )

So yes it works and it's neat to have games directly on the sd card.

hey,

i must say i really like this loader but i only have one problem:

Sometimes when i load up this usb loader it won't load my HDD (Lacie 750GB but has a 500GB partition) and my wii console gets stuck.
Other times it just works good (but needs some time to be detected).

Any suggestions????

The key you provided for file download was invalid. This is usually caused because the file is no longer stored on Mediafire. This occurs when the file is removed by the originating user or Mediafire.

Okay i tested it again. The USB Loader GX V 1.0 (r316) is okay ! But higher Version up to 326 dont Rip any Game here ! When i go on + it will show the Game Name und the Size, then i click on okay and the counter alway by zero . No Ripping with these versions ! The Original Loader 1.5 and Coverflow works fine here ! Please Repair it ! This changes in libwbfs.c !

I have now reverted the changes from 327 an compile it for me ! Now the loader works great with new Features & Ripping !

Here is the boot.dol 357 fix ! Boot.dol 357 fixed

Tested and works. Try again and reload that page if it fails. I should start uploading them to the ddl mirror also but I don't have that much free time

I changed that because the freaken 1.5 version crashes for most people on our loader. Most of the people are not having that trouble. I am gonna change it later back to the old (or new) function when i fixed it. Right now i am busy with other stuff.

are most of you guys loading through the forwarder? or click through homebrew channel? i would like to use the forwarder, but the longer load time bug listed on the first page kind of worries me. is it even worth it then?

    Interesting lol

I think I watched a video where two games at 4K where eating just over 16GB of RAM and it's the one case where the 7900XT and XTX pulled ahead (minus RTX of course)
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So my opinion is that they could age a bit better in the future, and maybe AMD will continue improving them via drivers like they tend to do. No guarantee there but they have done it in the past. Just a feeling I have.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
cyberpunk at 4k without DLSS/fidelityfx *might* exceed 12gb
    +1
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but that game barely runs at native 4k
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it was some newer games and probably poorly optimized PS4 or PS5 ports
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
they definitely will age better but i feel dlss might outweigh that since it looks about as good as native resolution and much less demanding
    +1
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
When I played Cyberpunk on my old 2080 Ti it sucked lol
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
AMD could introduce something comparable to DLSS but nvidia's got a lot more experience with that
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
least amd 7xxx has tensor cores which the previous generations didn't so there is the potential for AI upscaling
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They have FSR or whatever it's called and yeah it's still not great
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
so AMD seem to finally be starting to take AI seriously
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Oh yeah those new 8000 CPUs have AI cores built in that's interesting
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Maybe they plan on offloading to the CPU?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Would be kinda cool to have the CPU and GPU working in random more
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Tandem even
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
Have you ever been beaten by a wet spaghetti noodle by your girlfriend because she has a twin sister, and you got confused and fucked her dad?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I had a girlfriend who had a twin sister and they would mess with me constantly.... Until one chipped a tooth then finally I could tell them apart.... Lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They would have the same hair style the same clothes everything... Really messed with my head lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think nvidia wants to get in the x64 cpu market anyways
