Sounds like a plan! Thanks for your help.

1. SysCheck is below.

2. So that was one of the things I had been researching. I am guessing it's because I'm running Windows 10, but I do not have the ability to format in FAT32 (at least from Disk Management). I already saw a post where Cyan confirmed exFAT is not an acceptable format so I didn't know where to go from there since RAW and NTFS were my only other options.

3. That was one of the first things I updated prior to reaching out to you guys. I am Rev1262 IOS250 (Rev 65535). What do you mean by forwarder channel? I am opening it up from within the Homebrew Channel as I never added it to the Wii Menu.

I'm feeling better about it and a lot of this old stuff is coming back to me. There are a couple of different issues it could be from what I've read, so I'm just (slowly) taking it one at a time and eliminating them one by one. I had to update USB Loader last week because when I tried to boot it up it was telling me I didn't have IOS 222 or 249. Now I can get in, but when I select a game and click on "Start" on that pre-load screen is where I'm getting reset.

Thanks again for your assistance!

Ok, According to your syscheck, your system is not up-to-date FOR WHAT YOU NEED.

Your homebrew is not the last update which is 1.1.2 with IOS58. You dont have Priiloader which can save your ass.

And you have a stub on your slot 249.

I recommend you to update your cIOS on slot 249 and 250 with IOS249[56]d2x v8 final - IOS250[57]d2x v8 final.

How to do it ? Use Modmii for your system menu 4.3 and Modmii will put all you need for your SD card and use a WAD Manager like MMM to install the Wad.

Modmii 6.4.1 Link

By the Forwarder Channel, I mean a wad you install which will put a channel on your Wii and you start this channel which will start USB Loader on your SD Card. So you don't need to go on Homebrew to start USB Loader. It's more convenient and faster. Start with this and be back after to tell if it's fix all your problems and we will see what we can do ! And post your new Syscheck after this.

@Cyan

I am having two problems.

1 : I can't launch any games from the loader, they just give me a black screen. EmuNand, Nand, GC, Wii. You name it. I tried repatching IOS 249 with "D2x v10" But same problem. Everything on my wii is up to date, ModMii verified.

2 : (Not Important at all) I can't find the forwarder .dol on my SD card with priiloader, it shows up on my computer.

Thanks a lot!

1: try a different loader (wiiflow or conflig, or even GeckoOS or WiiLauncher)
if you still have the problem with other loaders, the issue is on your side, not on the loader. so check your settings, check your devices, your softmod, etc.

2: rename the forwarder.dol to boot.dol maybe?
put on the root of the SD card maybe?

EmuNAND doesn't work with disc games, only if you install them. I replaced the default System Menu with USB Loader GX because its more easier to run installed games, discs and homebrews without having to cycle through many channels and for me, EmuNAND is more easier to backup and more secure.

On my Wii, I have to use the 1247 revision because it was the last version that emuNAND work fine without issues, I use only the latest one inside the Wii U, which is not very often because I'm not too fond of wearing out the Wii U laser with Wii games and often Wii homebrews freeze inside the vWii, which pisses me off.

My daughter is almost old enough to start playing games (finally!). My question is, what is the best way to single out games I want just her to play? Can I do some sort of "profile", one for me and one for her (which would be a cool feature by the way). Or can I create a special list that I can show for just her games? Looking for some good gaming parenting advice here :)

Here my two cents, You can create Channel based on USBLoader Gx setting for her games.

The "profile" is an idea I wanted to add, but didn't do it cause of free time/not enough will to work on it/memory issue.

What you want can be done using a feature already present in the loader (in fact, 2 of them!)

1) Parental control
If you are using gametdb (most people are), each games has a "parental control" value set in that game database file.
you only need to choose the maximum age you are allowing to display, and "lock" the loader to hide all high-rated games.

- settings > update > gametdb/wiitdb
- settings > parental control > parental level (set it low ... or high, I always forget the order)
- settings > parental control > password : you can set a password if you want, but not required.
- main window > top menu > right icon "lock" the loader and parental control will be activated. unlock it to re-enable all games.

The parental control has issues with Virtual consoles installed on NAND. so you can use the next method if it's not good enough for you.

2) Categories
if parental level is not to your taste, you can selectively choose games one by one.
- go to the game you want > settings > category : Add a new category (for example "kid") and enable that category for that game.
do that for all your games you want to limit her.

then, to show only these games:
- main window > top menu > categories >
Disable "all" (set it to empty. You'll notice clicking on it will scroll empty -> check -> cross -> empty )
Enable "kid"

To show all games back to normal
- main window > top menu > categories >
Enable "all" (Set "all" to check mark)

3) Channels
John ice idea is good too, but it will require you to create and install a channel on your console for each games.
she will then launch the games from the main Wii interface, not the loader. (it's probably safer, but the loader's parental control can lock all dangerous settings and buttons too!)

You can mix 1 and 2 (set categories, and lock access to settings, etc.)

That sounds great!...so how do I go about doing that :)

Cyan Idea is good if it's a lot of games you want to control. But if it's just a few games, you can create Channel.

I Use WiiGSC 1.06b from WiiCrazy. Pretty easy.

Just download it from Link.

Install it on your PC.

When you run the program, just choose Source from an ISO/WBFS File. After, you choose From Loader: USB Loader FX Forwarder.

Hit Create Channel at the bottom and that's it. It will create a WAD on the folder of where the program is installed. Copy this wad on your SD Card and install it with a Wad Manager of your choice...

Hi All,
I have a Wii with a 80Gb usb winchester with some games on it. USB loader GX plays all games without problems. I tried to use a bigger winchester, so I formatted with WBFS managger, and I could add iso files with it. The wii identifies the winchester, the loader can see all games on it, but if I rty to load any game from the new winchester, a black screen appeares and the wii freezes down, only turn off- turn on helps on it. The old winchester still works fine.
Is there any settings or additional things to set? Maybe some settings need to set over regarding the new winchester? Or the iso files the problem?
Thank you in advance!

Don't use WBFS Manager, it's outdated af and this problem is quite common with WBFS partitions when the transfer go wrong: it corrupts the entire list of games. Format as FAT32 as any hard drive and use Wii Backup Manager instead.

Hi!
I tried the Backup Manager with fat 32 partition. When I started USB loader it said: You are trying to select a FAT32 partition with cIOS249 < 18. This is not supported. Continue on your own risk. I don't know if this means any important. The same happened, loader can see the game, but when I start it, the whole wii freezes down. I also tried with another new winchester. The original old winchester still working... :S Any idea?

you can (and should) update your custom IOS.
you probably have cIOS rev17 (which was fine back when it was released, but working with FAT32 is only for emuNAND, not for Wii games).
so, you should update to d2x v8 final, or v10 r52.

d2x installer full pack for Wii
extract to SD:/apps/d2x installer/
you need network enabled on your console
launch the installer from HBC and select this :

what : d2x v8 final
where : 249
base : 57
version : 21008 (or 65535 if you still launch game from disc channel and don't have priiloader installed)

after installation, you can exit the installer and try again USBloaderGX.

John_Ice - you are a genius! Two games appear to be corrupted but the other 12 are working just fine! I ended up only updating slot 249. Are there any disadvantages to not updating 250 as well? Also, so Priiloader is some kind of fail-safe in case my Wii gets bricked from what I can gather? Does that happen often? I was under the impression that once HBC was on the Wii I was in the clear from a bricking risk standpoint but is that not accurate? Sorry for the questions, just trying to understand.
