Hacking USB loader GX softlocking

I have softmodded my Wii mini and am trying to dump a game from the disk to a USB stick. Whenever I try to dump with USB loader GX however, the progress bar freezes at some random number. I have left it on for over an hour and a half with no change. I am trying to dump Mario cart Wii. I can not use the home button and nothing lets me leave. The cancel button makes a noise when pressed but does nothing. The Wii remote still respond however and the sound does not cut off. Any ideas on how to prevent this? I can only get out of the softlock by cutting power to the console.

You could try with my version of the loader. Just make sure you delete your existing config file (GXGlobal.cfg) so that some new default settings are applied.

If the issue still occurs then it's likely caused by that specific USB stick. USB HDDs are recommended.

Syscheck? It might be that you’re using the wrong ios...
