So I actually got it to work, yay, but I don't have a GC controller, so I was wondering if it's possible to play with a classic controller or even the wiimote.

You can use other controllers with Devolution.
GC controller (and clones) with DIOS MIOS
GC controller on Wii, PS3 controller on WiiU with Nintendont (not released yet)

There's no other way to use another controller with Gamecube games.

I used USB Loader GX and turned on devolution in the options tab, but what do I do now? The games say "emu. memcard is disabled" and doesn't load.

You need to install Devolution.
It's an external/independant GameCube loader, but you can tell USBLoaderGX to use it to launch gamecube backups.

1. download Devolution, place the file on your SD card (in the path where USBloaderGX is expecting, look in the settings>user path)
2. in the game's settings, put "GameCune Mode" to "Devolution"
3. run the game
4. Once Devolution is launched, you have a black screen and the Wii light flash few times, until you put your Original Game Disc to verify that you are not a pirate.
5. After verification, you don't need the Disc anymore next time you launch the same game.

Thanks, I'll try it soon. I downloaded the wrong region copy :|.

You can make your own ISO with your official game disc instead of downloading them.
use the Install function (press + on wiimote or the + button on the screen) to install the game to HDD or SD.
don't use the "compress" or "align" feature, Devolution need full 1:1 unmodified ISO.

Oh, that was a lot easier. I managed to start the game, but how do I configure the controls? The wiimote just flashes. Thanks. Couldn't find my classic controller, so maybe that's the problem? Or should I be able to use the wiimote+nunchuk for GC games?
