Hacking usb loader gx does not load games just restarts wii

Hi,

I tried the search function, but could not find the right anwser.

My problem is this: I have usb loader gx and a harddisk from la cie. These two work perfectly. Today I have bought a new harddisk, Verbatim 1,5 TB and cloned my La Cie.

USB loader gx sees al the games on the verbatim, but does not load the games. The WII just restarts itself after I chose a game (any game
). The LA Cie works perfectly.

Does anyone know what I can do to solve the problem for my Verbatim, so that this one also works?

did you check the compatibility matrix to see if the La Cie is on the list.

Did you use disk cloning software and it did you make sure that you have a the partition set as active.

You may also want to check for software that disables spin down for energy saving. I have a Western Digital Passport Elite. I had to use some WD software to disable a VCD partition so it was hidden and then I could set the sleep time to never. Also check for Firmware updates.

You made an image and cloned that to the Verbatim? That is the problem... you have to extract all the games from your LaCie drive to your computer, from there copy them on a fresh formatted WBFS or FAT32 Verbatim.

I did the same thing a while ago and had the same problems. Did the solution I just gave you and had no problems anymore.

just use wii backup manager to transfer directly from one hard drive to the other, try one or two games, then make sure they work before transferring them all... but it could still be a compatibility issue... good luck!

I have formatted the drive again with wii backup manager and put a game on it and it works now!

I am now going to do the rest of the games.
