Hacking USB Loader GX Channel

So... Yesterday I decided to start using my old USB HDD which only has been laying around, to play games from with USB Loader.

I saw that when I've started the program (Everything is running smooth and I've been able to do backups to the HDD and everything), there's an option to make a Channel of it.
Is it safe, do I have to do anything special or prepare something

(I've got BootMii installed as Boot2 so I guess I'm fine anyways?

Its safe lol, its just a wad install. I use it fine for Yaulct.
