Hi maddoc.

I tested with a NTSC game on my PAL wii and it runs but it is in B&W (Mario sluggers). So the video patch seems not perfect.

I loaded the missing covers without troubles.

Last thing : you order games by alphabetical order but if some letters are uppercase and others lowercase, it is curious because for example "resident evil" is after games that begin by Z. So it could be good to consider uppercase and lowercase as the same or to use a titles.txt file in which the user can rename all games as in some others loaders.

is it possible that your tv can't handle PAL60? and does that game work fine with other loaders?

I'll have a look at ordering but it's not a priority right now.

Yes it is possible, I don't know

Yes it works in color with the USB Iso Loader if I put "Auto Patch" in Video Mode setting.
It doesn't work in color if I put ON in VIDTVPatch setting.
But I don't know what are these settings physically.

I have to install another ntsc game !
So, this evening (for me !).

hello Maddoc ,

pal user here and tried manhunt uncensored but to play it you have to set the language on english and also tatsunoku vs capcom the language would be set on japanese and so they wont play on your loader.

could you implement it in the next release for your loader?

i really like this loader

I also tested "Ocean Commander" (NTSC-U). It is in B/W.

With the USB Iso Loader, it works in color if I put "Auto Patch" or "PAL 50" in Video Mode setting.

For the previous one, "Mario sluggers", with the USB Iso Loader, it works in color only if I put "Auto Patch" in Video Mode setting.

Can someone upload a mirror to Megaupload?

Hi maddoc,

It seems that the new version of the wbfs manager 3.0 makes automatically channels with the bnr from the iso´s.

It could be interesting to have a look in the source code.

As this, we maybe no longer need the covers, because we could read the bnr file from the isos right from the hdd. Of course perhaps the icons could be smaller but by this way we would be able to do an interface that displays more icons (12 as in the Wii menu for example) especially because the speed could be higher with the hdd than the SD Card. We could use again covers when the user would press Button B on a "small" icon for example.

I think it would even be possible to do more animation in this case.

What do you think about this ?

there is no way right now to display banners in homebrew aplications. it's no problem to extract them but you can't display them. as soon as benzin is ported to the wii the situation is different.

ulysse57, screemer is right

we have high hopes with benzin though.

Just want to let you know that RC6 will support loading the covers from a FAT partition on the USB HDD.

Because of the increased speed in cover loading it will be possible to show more covers / page.

The drive will need at least a small FAT/FAT32 partition as the first partition on the drive. Big FAT partitions won't be an issue.
(WBFS and FAT can be any partition -1, 2, 3 or 4)

It will retain SD cover loading for those that do not wish to reformat the drive but loading times between pages will be higher

Pseudo-3D covers will also be supported to add a nice look.

Edit: FAT doesn't need to be the first partition, just primary type and active.
