Are there covers for the several GH3 customs like GH3:GH1 and GH3:RB and so on? Can't find them on the site, though I think I saw them there once.

I found these
Guitar Hero 3 Custom Ntsc RGHE70
Guitar Hero 3 Custom Pal RGHP8P
Guitar Hero 3 Custom
No, what I mean is for example Guitar Hero 3: Rock Band Edititon.

There was a flood of them on last night - all got sorted in the end.

I think someone else probably moderated if before you got there because its the one on the site now.

PLEASE stop posting NTSC-U covers in the PAL section. Even if they are to replace an image with a better quality image. I'm in the process of replacing all the wrong region covers and keep fighting with something that wants to put NTSC-U covers in the PAL section, when there are perfectly good PAL covers to be found and worked. I know I may seem a bit anal about this, but if you going to do a job, do it right.

I was asked to put widescreen images (different sizes) on the site as well and im wondering if there is a big demand for this why of thing out there or is it worth re-coding the site for this type of thing ?

I've changed out some 200+ images this week with either proper region images or better quality images.

Hey guys, do you think you can start a database for the pictures of the disks themselves? I have coded a function that shows the disk spinning and it would be great if all the disk images were readily available.

Currently 160x160 png files with transparent centers and corners are what I have it set up for. They are named the same as the covers (6 uppercase letters/numbers.png).

It should be possible to add in a section for the disc images - but again its really up to the demand for such a thing - if a lot want it i can add it in , but if theres only 4-5 people looking for this it might seem a bit pointless.

@djtaz
Not sure where I read this exactly, but I remember you saying that the widescreen images are created on the fly by dynamically resizing the images before the download begins. Is this correct?

I have noticed that a lot of the loaders coming out need the images to have dimensions which are multiples of 4 (due to the way the library works for accelerating the process). Would it be possible to construct a URL which sepcifies the dimensions and have it resize to that? That way we wouldn't have specific widescreen directories or anything, the dimensions required would be specified within the loader/config file. All the laoders could then use this site without having to resize themselves or have slightly (it's 1 pixel we're talking about!) altered cover packs floating about.

From what I know the coverflow demo, GUI USB LOADER and cdreams "coverflow" threads are both using the multiple of 4 images.

Any thoughts on this?

I quite like the idea of having it there for developers to use, although I would only say go ahead with it if we're confident we can get all the disk images, no point having half of a collection.

I would say that maybe this time we would just use the first four letters of the Title ID (as we discussed before), as this would be a *NEW* feature to loaders we could enforce it from the get go and stop any duplicate images being posted.

It is possible to create a link in such a way that the sizes are in the link itself.
I dont know of much demand for it yet , but yes its possible to get the images resized on the fly based on the URL

Hum... i'm sure that you meant AppleBelly's Coverflow... Cdreams designed the artwork, AB made a lot of code (based on Oggzee's work) and then dropped the project.
i'm the one coding it now...

well I guess this should be done when more standard sizes are finalized by authors cause every version so far from the tons of loaders their making might have a new size for images !!! so let's wait for final agreements on sizes

I found that quite funny. I'll take the credit if you want me to, I don't mind. Yeah as Don Killah said, I just did the backgrounds for it and gave some feedback. AppleBelly started the code and developed it quite far/ Don Killah has continued on the coding to suit the style I was pushing for, but it's constantly evolving all the time.

Anyhoo back on topic, yeah if Djtaz could include a way to have the images rezise when you download them to the sizes you need then that would be a massive help. I will link to the site regardless just now but hope that something like this gets implemented in the very near future. Would save a lot of work for the different loaders out there with different sizes and automate the process.

Keep up the good work djtaz

Well i did most of the initial coding on the site , but for this image resize part i cant take any credit, that was all the work of antiaverage in fairness to him.

I gave him access to the site and he put together an awesome system to code a resize, and based on his code it could be slightly modified to make an image pretty much any size you want it - im sure he would even do it up that way in a second (prob take me a few hours) if he was asked cause hes a good decent guy and another credit to the whole community.

Theres alos a lot of thanks due to the lads who are checking and correcting the images and to people uploading the requests, and of course the coders making the apps that make all this happen.
