Hacking USB Loader Connection

I use wiiflow as my usbloader. Most of the time when I start wiiflow it would say "connect harddrive to usb or reset" even when the hard drive is already connected. Then I would have to unplug it and then plug it back in then it would work. I don't want to do this every time i start wiiflow, am i doing something wrong here?

I had the same problem with a seagate desk agent 500 gb drive. I switched to Configurable USB Loader and it now works all the time.
