When a good utility for reading and writing to WBFS filesystems comes out that'll be as easy as sticking the drives in your computer and transferring them.

a few question, still can't try it (no spare hard drive)

- can you give crc32/MD5 of the cios installer and loader zips? If someone makes a version with a trojan or whatever
- you can dump several games on the hard drive? then you choose which one to play? or you can have only 1 game on the drive?
- can you dump gamecube games?
- what about games which contain system upgrades? and other region? I'm on 3.2E (2 wii, one with preloader, one without)

this is fantastic. created an unformated partition on my 750 GB fat 32 HDD with paragon hard disk manager. installed the cios rev 9 , started the usb iso loader with my HDD attached. loader recognised the needed format wasnt there and asked me which partition to format.
formated and was ready to install backups. cool thing is acdc live runs without a problem which normally asks for an update if started through the diskchannnel. bad news is dokapon kingdom gives me all colors in red with my rgb cable.

Ironic that the poster above me asked for Metroid Prime 3. I just tried it, riped in about 13 minutes. However, on launch I get a flickering "Please insert the metroid prime 3 Game Disk" message

Keep in mind before beating up on the noobs that most of you were in the same situation when the first backup loaders came out. Installing a cIOS is brand new stuff for the people that will be flooding in with this announcement.

I'm having trouble getting cIOS USB2 installed on my wii. when I try to install it, it just shows "fat loaded.." and that's it. Am I missing a file or does that mean I already have it on my wii? I'm on wanin's 4.0 version

This software is amazing. HotD - Overkill has absolutely no slowdowns at all when played from HDD.

@Viro: You don't need CIOS USB2. Just install CIOS Rev 9 and you're all set.

What do you mean by "to my knowledge"? Did you hook up a drive with a wbfs partition to another OS or not?

well considering wani and his cohort created WBFS, and only created a linux tool for it. i think its safe to say it will not work under windows, unless microsoft is like the guys out of AntiTrust (movie) and have video of the guys coding there FS so that they could in turn implement support for Win. You should be able to get WBFS_tool running under OS X, but i have no idea which dependencies you would need...

hey, how do i partition it and make sure that nothing gets screwed up, i have a harddrive with everything on it, i know you have to use partition magic or whatever, but im not sure how, ive done a couple of searches, but they just really confuse me, im semi-new at this in that ive done a little hacking, can anyone point me in the direction of a good tut,
