How is USUM shorter exactly? Less handholding? Less forced cutscenes? I've decided to wait for dumps of the US versions, so I haven't played it yet.
Considering the handholding part is longer (2 hours for me), MORE forced cutscenes that are also long, more character animations that are slow af to pad out the time in US/UM, they are longer by about a hour and a half (beat Sun in 25:xx hours, UM in 27). They are good games, just much less fun if you have played through Sun/Moon, as it's the same game in almost every but a few places. I was literally like "I just want to get to the Ultra Necrozma stuff" all the time I was playing and after it, it just felt like it ended too quickly...

pokemon is all-region.
eur retail and us retail even jpn and kor they have no difference.

if you mean Ultra sun, it's dumped already.
EUR and US have different product codes (serials):P But yeah, the files themselves are exactly the same. They meant Ultra Sun though...

has anyone found any bottle caps?

I'm pretty sure you can use the Poke Pelago to find bottle caps if you set your 'mon to mine for odd items.

I'm at Kyogre and my team gets wiped at level 90 because I'm trying to catch it while it spams Calm Minds and Origin Pulses!

Smeargle with Imprison and Transform. Imprison then transform and Kyogre will be locked to struggle, Maybe have a backup Spore user or someone with a status move and Heal Pulse/Delibird with Present. Anything to lock K out of moves, status, and a way to heal it when it's close to fainting.

I've found all but three stickers. are there any really well hidden ones that you guys have found?

You could load your save into PKHeX and see where there remaining stickers are.

Can't trigger the mimicku event in the old mega mart

If you mean the
take all the pictures of the ghost 'mon.

Does anyone know where is the thunderstone in UM? At the old place, i think they changed it for a rare bone.
They did, but at a certain point Detective Looker gives you one. You could also wait for Koinkoni City as there is a Stone shop there.

Also anyone know where to catch Zygarde? Since they removed the Cells/Cores stuff, and the end credits don't look like a wormhole.

I see, thanks. What about making it 100%? As for the Fossil, google which Pokemon they contain, and choose the one you like.

Nah, I meant United States. I'll still wait until after release, just so I don't have to uninstall to get rid of a pre-release install date.

Hmm, the longer total time discourages me a bit from wanting to play. Then again, I felt the same way while playing Sun. I just wanted to be done with the story as quickly as possible so that I could get to competitive battling. Only to find that the competitive did not improve much from Gen 6. In USUM, I will be looking forward to Rainbow Rocket, Ultra Necrozma, and hopefully a good set of Move Tutors. I heard Defog Landorus is now a thing...

there is no install date...

I haven't been reading this thread for spoilers, so apologies if this has been discussed already. Have many people been using the online functions? I figured there won't be much of a risk of being banned since it's much closer to the release than the Sun/Moon leak.

if anyone plays online, they WILL be banned. however, we have yet to see anyone fuck up.

It's HIGHLY advised to delete it and all traces of it and reinstall a brand new copy, as the installation date will still show up as that before the release.

The corruptions are actually caused by the Pokedex option in PKHeX and not JKSM. It's just that people failed to read the warnings and didn't uncheck it before loading the saves.

US/UM is longer just because the wormhole stuff takes forever to get everything... It's annoying after a 100 trips in or so!

Don't know, perhaps you don't really need the Pikachu for it, but it definitely isn't unlocked from the start. I'm guessing after learning all the other ones...

For Fly Pikachu, you only need to beat your score using the Gyarados move at least one time. When you do, doesn't matter as long as you do it even once.
Well I've done it on ever course and he doesn't give me the Pikachu.

Hi guys. Is it still ok/safe to use JKSM when export/import a save for use with PkHex? I heard about save corruption, but someone said it is with PkHex and not JKSM. Thoughts and help greatly appreciated :)
Can't wait till Friday!! :)

it's pkhex.

It gets corrupted by PKHeX, NOT the save manager. I'm using Checkpoint just for this, but if I load the save on PKHeX and do even one thing, it gets corrupted!:/

The legendaries are in the Altar of the Moone in Poni Island. Just get there directly with Charizard and go through the ultra wormhole. Little advice though, if you end up going after Kyogre, you REALLY need something like a Lapras! I'm at Kyogre and my team gets wiped at level 90 because I'm trying to catch it while it spams Calm Minds and Origin Pulses!

I only changed the "date met" for all mons, the EVs for the legendaries (EV training is a pain in this game), date of adventure start and basically all dates because I noticed RTChanger set my year to 2030! Besides that, I just gave myself more Pokeballs (the Johto ones and Masterballs), Big Nuggets (for money), Rare Candies and Bottle Caps. That's all, no major edits, didn't even bother genning anything yet, but it gets corrupted if I do ANYTHING on the save, even just nicknaming something corrupts the save, even with the Pokedex setting unchecked since for whatever reason it goes automatically from unchecked to checked and that's how it gets corrupted... Should I try a different version? Also, you get only one of each legendary, but infinite amount of the UBs that are inside the wormholes. Unchecking the flags in PKHeX allows to find legends again though...

The UBs are in the ultra wormhole, so you get them from there, no missions from the looks of it. After beating Giovanni, there's not much to do, just do Battle Tree, Battle Agency or fill up the dex.

I feel you, that mini-game gets old VERY fast...

Magikarp Splash is a hidden move that's never added to the movepool, but it's not worth it, it looks like it gives lots of points but it gives VERY little compared to even the bronze ones. Keep spamming the highest level ones you got, get first place, unlock gold+ ones and then watch your score go to 100+K while you make more BP than even the Battle Tree!:P

Gamefreak office on second island, next to that place where the prof's wife works. You talk to the guy in the white Aether scientist costume to change controls.

If you got a Poison Touch Grimer, just use Crunch or something and if you get a poison on it along with the damage, it won't last long:P

Surprisingly, I haven't. Don't know why they made them so rare in this game!:/

PS: For anyone wondering, the games are NOT shorter than S/M, just have less of a chore things to do. They don't force you to go to some random area just to get UBs just to pad out the time, but Rainbow Rocket takes longer than the Looker UB missions, so post game isn't shorter. Also, for main story, it's longer by about 2-3 hours, just less tiring so you don't really notice it.

For the save corruption issue, did you get any corruption with Checkpoint versus using JKSM?

it's pkhex.

Is there a way to avoid getting save corruption? Someone said to disable "Modify PKHex" in Options>Set to SAV in PkHex. I wanted to use PkHex when I get game on Friday...

Poke Pelago bottle caps only have 1% for Gold and 2% for regular, nothing even close to farmable... As for the Smeargle thing, why would I do all that? It's gonna die before I can catch it... Even Taunt is a better option or Imprison just the Calm Mind. Struggle does 1/4th to the user's health, I would have to use Heal Pulse every second turn and that would be a real pain, plus, you need to have it's HP under 1/3rd to make it easier to catch, something impossible with the method you suggested.:P

Since you want move tutors, here's the list. (spoiler)

If you mean those that appear every 10 battles, I've only encountered Green (Blue) and Colress so far, but I haven't played much. I'm at 15 battles in supers...

I see... Guess it's just the dialogue then and we never get the Fly Pikachu... I like that thing, it's fun to use competitively since no one expects Fly or Surf from a Pikachu:P

yea, at this point, its eaither just a tease, or there is a hidden point threshold you need to pass.
I think it's just a tease...

The corruption comes from PKHeX's Pokedex option. This is a known bug though, so expect it fixed soon.

It's the "Modify Pokedex" not "Modify PKHeX":P But yeah, that's the one you need to disable.

Yeah I even went as far as to beat my score in 3 different ways:

1. ONLY using "Over the Gyarados" and nothing else
2. Ending the run with "Over the Gyarados"
3. Performing the move all 4 ways (Left, Down, Right, Up; Down, right, up, left; Right, up, left, down; up, left, down, right)

Now I can't really try anything else since my scores are over 80k - 100k and that's pretty tough Lol.
