Hacking URGENT HELP please

Ok so i had softmii and preloader and all of that stuff and everything was working beautifully.I then decided to update to 4.0 through nintendo.After I updated to 4.0 my wii no longer plays zelda twilight princess and wiisports.My wii also no longer runs the homebrew channel.My wii is asking to update with the wii code 11172.What does this update do?Should i go ahead and update?

re-run the 4.0 update. ive seen this issue with people who have had cioscorp installed who then update, and then had no discs (backup or legit) work. just had to update once more and things all worked honky dory
