I have installed the TP hack and the HBC. I have updated my firmware from 3.1U to 3.2U using Any Region Changer. Now I am looking to load the back up Loader. Which one is the best, and will I need anything else to install it (such as custom ios)? I keep hearing a lot about the Gamma Loader…does it work well with backed up copies of games?

just install CIOS that comes with the gamma package, also install CIOS rev7 all can be found on here, gamma is the best one for you as it's more simple

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar -

Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)+1 -

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
